last year s signature bikes were so nice that this year we decided to make our entire line signature-models ­ now everyone can ride an aitken eddie foster inman or homan and with your strong support in 2010 we were able to bring our bikes down in price and/or improve the spec and looks of each one thanks to mid bbs integrated headsets sealed cassette hubs and 9t drivers all the 2011 fit complete bikes are 100 compatible with high-end aftermarket frames forks and components ride everything having fun riding any terrain has been a big part of the fit philosophy since day one with that in mind we ve given up classifying our bikes with designations like trl prk or str instead we let our pro riders design signature completes in their personal style and then added three additional price points of each the result is a completely new line that makes more sense for today s riding and features components from duo odyssey primo snafu sun and s&m streets is talking in 2010 our 1 level complete bike was $359.99 for 2011 that price has been reduced to $329.99 while still offering a 40 percent margin and the same great spec at $419.99 our 2 level bikes now have thread-on brake mounts and tapered fork legs for the first time the 3 level bikes look even better this year and have come down $70 to retail for $499.99 plus our pro signature bikes are closer to the guys personal bikes than ever with new geometry and components from each of their co-sponsors stay fit getting our prices down for 2011 was a big goal of ours but we didn t want to sacrifice quality or compatibility with our high-end frames forks and components to do it we could have saved a few bucks using a-headsets instead of integrated hiddensets but aftermarket forks with cnc d steerer tubes would have rubbed on the inside of the lower headset cups and we could have saved a few more bucks using something other than sealed mid bb s or all-sealed cassettes on each of our bikes but the cheaper alternatives fall apart are hard to find replacement parts for and in some cases aren t even compatible with upgrades these 2011 completes allow riders to easily upgrade to aftermarket fit parts as their riding progresses although it takes some time to get used to change is good offering our customers a 2011 fitbikeco aitken 1 is a lot cooler than selling them a trl 1 in red getting that bike to him for $30 less than last year s model is pretty cool too and with complete compatibility riders can now upgrade to aftermarket fit parts on a whim all in all we re excited about offering you the best-looking strongest fit complete line we ve ever produced thanks for giving us the opportunity to partner with you for another great year as of today we are still tweaking a few colors and graphic touches before our catalog photos are taken but i m blown away at how good these 2011 bikes look chris moeller the building distribution page 1 of 27
