quarterly newsletter issue #4 december 2010 bay #8 3530 11a st ne calgary ab canada t2e 6m7 1.877.356.0707 office@aymi.ca www.aymi.ca street invaders 2010 report how great is our god we were amazed as the lord came in a powerful way in each of our three boot camps and seventeen missions he did a deep work in hearts and prepared them for sharing the gospel we saw many who were profoundly moved on by the lord and who came and shared the miracles that the lord did for them spiritually emotionally and physically he loves us so much and wants us to encounter him and be changed continued inside up date legacy one successfully completed our first tour in saskatoon we were invited to perform in more than five youth groups as well as greg and chantel s home church we were also welcomed into the catholic high school system to teach hip-hop workshops we were at the schools from 8:30am to 3:00pm teaching five different phys ed classes and at noon did performances for the whole school every noon event was successful with the support of amazing teachers and hundreds of students coming out continued inside report larry moore aymi executive director we are excited to report that the lord is still answering prayer earlier this year our ministry was in need of financial support and i prayed that the lord would provide it in such a way that it was obvious it was his doing and not ours then in august we received word from a businessman that he was willing to provide a matching donation opportunity for us we were amazed when he offered us $12,500.00 if we could raise the same amount from our supporters continued inside

report larry moore aymi executive director when we promoted this challenge it was such a blessing to have so many people jump on board and be a part of seeing this come to pass when everything was completed not only did we meet the $12,500.00 goal but we surpassed it by at least that much again it was such a blessing to receive this financial support but just as great to see the lord provide it `with his fingerprints all over it to all of you who helped to see this challenge met and surpassed many blessings on your life motivational media there were always a couple students who would linger just to talk thirsty for truth and for someone to tell them that it was okay to chase after whatever passions and dreams they had we had so many opportunities to pray with them and talk more about why we personally choose to do this full time this is just the beginning it seems like god is bringing us out of the very dark midnight we were in just a month ago into the beginning of dawn for legacy one we are starting to do what we have dreamt of for more than a year and god is richly blessing it recently we had a christmas party and several people from the calgary dance community came out we had an incredible time and sensed god s favour on us please keep praying your prayers cause this whole thing to breathe life for those that have been supporting us personally and corporately in a financial manner thank you so much we are still pursuing and brainstorming ideas to raise funds to keep legacy one going at the moment general support for our program is low and most of the members are getting jobs again this december so thank you so much for everything you have poured into this into christ s kingdom and into the freedom of youth this is our first season of motivational media and we re excited about what is happening we ve already been able to make a trip to regina with the 3-screen school production for a presentation at arcola community school the response we received from them was great as one of the teachers commented the presentation fit well with the arcola achievers assembly that highlights a new virtue every month teachers were able to draw from the production as example for discussion i would recommend this type of presentation to anyone we have been taking bookings for the fall and the new year across western canada please pray as we gain opportunities to make presentations to students on how to live to the fullest of their potential also please pray for open doors in communities where we can work with local churches to share the hope that christ has given us if you are interested in having us come to your community with this dynamic public school presentation please call the office 1-877-4980040 thanks for all your support street invaders tour manitoba we have just returned from a partnership tour with legacy1 in northern manitoba it was inspired through contacts in the past that we made last year and from a street invaders mission that had proven to be quite fruitful in flin flon our tour began in the pas had gatherings in cormorant and wanless and ended in flin flon we were able to make 12 gospel presentations 2 public school/legacy1 shows and some powerful prayer times as a team and with the leadership in the towns we visited we saw some good fruit and the evidence of some positive shift in the spiritual atmosphere towards the public preaching of the gospel there were some salvation responses as well as a deep sense of surrender to god that was taking place in a lot of our meetings the highlight was the opportunity to openly preach the gospel on two different days in a food court of the mall near the pas where we had up to 300 people hearing the gospel message clearly preached and they politely sat to hear the message god is good we were able to pray with a few people even in the mall ben kostamo associate director of ministries

street invaders 2010 report the message simply flows out of us after we have been filled up with him and have taken the initial steps of obedience to share when we have been with him people seem to engage in conversation as we step out to talk about jesus and what he has done in us the holy spirit touched one service in sk so that our speaker could not really speak as things were opened up to respond to the holy spirit something was unleashed instantly throughout the entire gathering people were laughing and crying and moving under the power of the holy spirit many people had never experienced the lord in that way before we also saw such a release in freedom of worship and joy in the bc boot camp and a genuine excitement for jesus and for the lost the nb boot camp had a very profound visit from the holy spirit in which the same speaker from the sk boot camp was again unable to speak as the presence of god was so deep in the place here are some of the other reports and stories we heard and saw today started with a bang heading straight to a school where we were in front of an assembly of about 1000 students the drama team did a play christie shared her testimony and mel shared an awesome word we quickly hopped in the car to get over to the christian school where we did another play and this time sarah and maria shared their stories with the kids it was so good i am really excited with how comfortable the team is with sharing their faith and their stories we spent the afternoon with the kids then we headed to the radio station where we got to share about what si is and a bit of our testimonies yesterday we started the day super early 5am but it was so worth it we traveled to a public school where we got to worship with the entire school yes you heard me correct a worship service in a public school it was amazing so powerful we shared some testimonies and prayed with students then we were off to brackenfell high where we did a drama and jared and adam shared their testimonies and a summer youth missions mme youth miss mer out issio gospel message as we were closing we opened up the front for prayer it was so crazy it started off slow and only one kid came forward but then 3 came and then like 20 hit the front there were people praying all over the room god is so amazing we got home and slept deeper than i have ever slept in my life i think i may have died and been resurrected actually today has been great as well we went to township name chris nissan and played with some children at a daycare it was awesome because some of the boys were there that we played with last year we gave shoulder rides and just loved on them we then did a walking tour of the township with the locals stopping to pray with some of the sick again super powerful ­ david whithrow south africa team leader one girl kaylee walked up to me on her mission and asked do you see anything different about me she was glowing with excitement and she told me how the lord healed her of a shortened leg that had affected her walking and posture for her entire life she told me how it felt strange to be able to walk normally and that she was getting used to this new ability in her body you could see the love for jesus on her face ben street invaders is a life changing experience program that can really open your eyes i am definitely different life is a battle and just cuz you fall once doesn t mean that you should give up ­ luke god has grown me a lot i have been forced to face my most difficult mountains and he has helped me come out on top stronger than ever i was sent to my home town so i am going to carry the torch of what we have started ­jaedyn after the program we heard reports of participants who were still sharing their faith as the holy spirit was directing them that is what street invaders is all about we believe that god is ready to do something outstanding in canada and the nations of the earth our heart and passion is that we bless and yield to that move of his spirit and see many become true disciples we pray that they are moved to allow the holy spirit to reveal jesus to and through them we are not going to wait until next year but are going to keep sharing jesus love now on whatever street we find ourselves.

for all your design needs .com this year we are not running the north american bootcamp however our programs in the uk with danny and alycia delong are still going ahead this year at the gambia project we have three of the largest school groups going that we have had to date one of the schools will be taking 74 people in april the other two schools will be doing a combined trip with approximately 30 students our partnership with the schools in the uk is continuing to grow we have 10 high schools we are now working with on a regular or semi-regular basis as well as 2 elementary schools on december 7th 9th 2010 we are doing a christmas show at a school that is 98 muslim on january 22nd we are launching urban spirit a project that has 5 churches committed and we are hoping to have 10 churches involved by the summer once a month we will run a city wide youth event that coincides with our school program each event will be running as an evangelistic outreach promoted at the schools we are going ahead with plans for our north american bootcamp next year there are some exciting destinations we have in mind which we will be releasing once we have confirmation of our leadership we believe that god would have us continue with lifeforce this upcoming year and are eagerly anticipating the things he has in store for us lindsay hodges lifeforce director pray for our ministries join our prayer team by emailing us your address at prayer@aymi.ca no matter where you go these days everyone seems to talk about leadership and especially the lack of it there is no question that this is one of the most needed qualities in the church as well as the world the best time to see those qualities nourished and developed is in a person s youth this is what young leaders conference is about this february 4th 6th 2011 we will once again host this conference here in calgary stay tuned for more information coming soon summer youth missions ministries international
