introduction dear client thank you for having chosen a menikini product by buying this product you showed confidence in us and we are committed to supply you a high quality performing and long lasting machine we strongly believe that life quality also relies on our house and time thus we always aim at designing building and supplying appliances that make your house clean and a place of wellbeing before using the appliance you bought we recommend performing some simple operations that will ensure you the greatest safety check the packing of the machine and make sure it is intact and has not been tampered with in particular make sure the label sealing the packing is intact check that the packing contains all the components envisaged and that they are in good conditions with no trace of tampering if not please contact your nearest dealer or service centre as soon as possible menikini will replace any damaged material or supply any missing part carefully read these instructions before turning on the machine by doing so you will discover all the functions of the machine you bought and you also will use it in safety conditions maintenance air outlet microfilter activated carbon filter box filter fig 9 for the purification of the air that will be vented outside the machine can be equipped with a microfilter an activated carbon filter or a box filter this filter is located under the vent slits for the replacement of this filter press on and raise grille i fig 1 remove the old filter and place a new one laying it down into the relevant seat close the grille with a slight pressure until it snaps shut change this filter every five changes of the dust bag important carefully read this manual in order to prevent wrong operations it is also important to follow the instructions since menikini accepts no responsibility for damage to people or things deriving from an improper use of the machine incompetence incautiousness or negligence and from the lack of compliance with the instructions provided in this manual the pictures shown in this manual are indicative and useful to better explain the running safety instructions and maintenance operations of the machine menikini reserves the right to effect changes to its machines as a result of its constant search for performance optimisation bagless version the bagless system cyclonic dust separator is a dirt retention system replacing the traditional paper dust bag fig 10 to keep the vacuum cleaner running to maximum efficiency we recommend emptying and cleaning the dirt canister every two uses of the machine or whenever the special indicator warns that the system is full open the cover and remove the dust canister then remove the grille and the internal cover and clean them the washable filter placed between the grille and the internal cover must be cleaned at regular intervals after washing make sure all the parts are perfectly dry before replacing them in position once the canister has been opened and the filter removed empty and wash the canister proceed with caution and eliminate any dirt deposits settled down on the inlet cone of the interval cover after cleaning reassemble all the components replace the system into the dust canister of machine and close the cover some versions can also be supplied with a filterbag and a bag support to be used as an alternative dust retention method insert the dust bag into the special guides of the support press on the cardboard flange and position the support complete with bag into the relevant seat also in this case the cover can only be closed if the support complete with bag is correctly positioned now the appliance is ready for use attention this manual is an integral part of the machine kit therefore it must be carefully kept within reach and consulted in case of doubt or anytime the need arises if the machine is given to a third party even only if it is lent out the manual will have to be handed out together with the machine specifying to the new user to carefully read its content before going on with any operation fig 9 fig 10 2 use and maintenance briosa brig 2nd ed 11/2005 use and maintenance briosa brig 2nd ed 11/2005 11
