condor training updates level 2 level 2 is known as the gateway course it unlocks the potential to participate in advanced condor security training programs and other work opportunities to be certified as a level 2 guard staff must meet all the pre-requisites and demonstrate skill in dealing with emergencies knowledge of laws and concepts related to physical security possess strong customer service skills and pass practical and theoretical tests two days of intense and exhausting training awaited condor staff participating in the level 3 course in april 2013 under the guidance and direction of trained instructors a new group of hopeful candidates were successful in earning the designation of level 3 guard congratulations to brian n erdogan k irene c pouria a and prakash p on reaching the standards necessary many existing level 3 guards attended to support the new candidates renew their certification and improve their skill through condor s most challenging course so far level 3 condor security s verbal judo course expands upon core concepts of the system of effective communications developed by dr george thompson and improved upon by the verbal judo institute and its roster of law enforcement trainers and professionals participants can learn through verbal judo how to generate co-operation from others through a helpbased approach w.o.o.s.h.a participants of firesafe had the opportunity to receive training on fire emergency response and prevention participants extinguished live fires toured a nearby condominium and went through fire drills under the supervision of professional firefighters the main course instructor michael cadotte ceo of firewise consulting is a certified trainer facilitatorthroughtheontariofiremarshal soffice.mr.cadotteisalso afireofficerwiththebarriefireandemergencyserviceandhasover20 yearsexperienceintheprofessionalemergencyfield.heistheprogram manager of the pre-service firefighter education training program at georgian college in barrie ontario.

helping save lives 2013 canadian blood services and condor security inc partnered for the 3rd time in creating the opportunity for condor security s staff and their families and friends condor s social commitment partners and for members of the local community to voluntarily donate blood for persons in need blood is used for transfusions surgeries and other medicinal uses which are often necessary for the survival of patients canadian blood services was pleased with the turnout of condor s staff and though not all who attended wereabletodonateorhavetheirbloodused,theattempttodosoisappreciated.afterfinalscreening 22 units of blood were accepted for donation resulting in approximately 66 lives saved thank you to all the heroes who helped to support the event including condor s social commitment partners results number of 1st time donors 34 number of attendees 86 units of blood donated 32 lives saved 66

about tfss and the feeding hungry students week from october 7th to 11th the toronto foundation for student success will host the 9th annual feedingtoronto shungrystudentsweek fthsw officiallydeclaredbytorontocitycouncil fthsw is the largest awareness campaign for student nutrition programs provided by toronto foundationforstudentsuccess.eventshelpsupportthenutritionprogramsinover350torontoschools in order to maintain this level of support tfss relies on student volunteers and organizations to lend a helping hand hunger is a daily issue for many children for an alarming number of students the only meal they get is at school 40 of all children come to school hungry each day as many as 68 in at-risk communities a healthy breakfast for a child costs just $1.49 student nutrition programs provide over147,000nutritiousmealseveryschoolday.thecosttosupporttheseprogramsissignificant and in 2013 a shortage of funding required some schools to shut their program down early and other programs to reduce the days they offered breakfast to just 2 or 3 times a week.
