dear friends do you set goals i m not talking about new year s resolutions or some personal get-fit lose-weight type of goal proverbs 30:18 says where there is no vision the people perish but he that keepeth the law happy is he in god s law and word are life challenges for over six decades the voice in the wilderness has outlined some very ambitious undertakings at times and then again easily obtainable objectives for this faith ministry i classify some goals like this 1 some goals take great sacrifice 2 some goals may create troubles 3 some goals are adventurous 4 some goals will elicit critics -naysayers nitwits and no-see-ums 5 some goals may take a life time 6 some goals bring great joy and satisfaction 7 some goals are without doubt god-sized one god-sized goal for the voice in the wilderness was to have a debt-free ministry time and space does not permit details but to god be the glory he has miraculously in spite of numerous obstacles enabled us to continue debt-free that brings me to a specific prayer item we are now less than five months away from the thanksgiving/christmas season possibly your family sunday school church or workplace would fill a mason jar piggy bank or a dollar/check tree with a year-end offering for the voice in the wilderness please consider this as a prayer challenge that leads to our next goal printing funds for the book of revelation we are working on a 60th diamond jubilee edition of our verse-by-verse study of the book of revelation after all is said and done this may be a 20 to 30,000 dollar project this hard-back book with the question and answer sections will be expensive the last printing was 10,000 copies and the price has gone way up a good year-end offering will help greatly your prayers are so vital by the close of 2013 we hope to conclude some goals in venezuela and the philippines go online to www.thevoiceinthewilderness.org for updates additional info and reports happy trails for christ and souls for more resources visit www.thevoiceinthewilderness.org ·3

t wenty welve ways the law of the lord what shall we say then shall we continue in sin that grace may abound god forbid how shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein please take a moment to read romans 6 it seems today if one condemns sinful practices and open worldly life styles individuals that once condemned the same now label you as a legalistic holier than thou hypocrite far too many professing christians pursuing the carnal lifestyles and entertainment of this age are hostile to those still standing where they themselves once stood romans 6:12-16 says let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin but yield yourselves unto god as those that are alive from the dead and your members as instruments of righteousness unto god for sin shall not have dominion over you for ye are not under the law but under grace what then shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace god forbid know ye not that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey his servants ye are to whom ye obey whether of sin unto death or of obedience unto righteousness don t claim grace as a license to sin nor dismiss god s law as some past and irrelevant chapter in bible history this i say then walk in the spirit and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh 4·the voice in the wilderness july 2013 virtual edition

the flesh lusteth against the spirit the two are contrariwise the believer is the battleground his life the sought for prize to whom he yields his affections that one shall his master be one means defeat and sorrow one peace and victory those in christ are dead to sin and alive to obey righteousness c.h spurgeon wrote repentance results in a change of life acts 26:18 to open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light and from the power of satan unto god that they may receive forgiveness of sins and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me paul preached the same thing as john the baptist in the matter of repentance mathew 3:8 bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance do you imagine that the gospel is magnified or god glorified by going to the worldings and telling them that they may be saved at this moment by simply accepting christ as their saviour while they are wedded to their idols and their hearts are still in love with sin if i do so i tell them a lie pervert the gospel insult christ and turn the grace of god into lasciviousness t hall of faith series wenty welve ways hall of faith i exodus not thou shalt have no other gods thou shalt make unto thee any graven image before me 20:3 exodus 20:4 no reprod uction withou t written permission no reprod uction withou t written permission halll o ha l off hall ffaith h aith halll off al o f faith aith of t publishe d by the collector ser voic ies www.the e in the wild erne voiceint hewilde ss ashevill rness.or e nc g faith ii t publishe d by the collector ser voic ies www.the e in the wild erne voiceint hewilde ss ashevill rness.or e nc g order your set of 12 cards great for personal study family devotions access your free twenty twelve ways sunday school lessons at www.thevoiceinthewilderness.org homeschoolers for more resources visit www.thevoiceinthewilderness.org ·5

all the words of the law listen to this powerful record and afterward he read all the words of the law the blessings and cursings according to all that is written in the book of the law there was not a word of all that moses commanded which joshua read not before all the congregation of israel with the women and the little ones and the strangers that were conversant among them achan s sin has been judged the conquest of ai was accomplished and now joshua read god s law as a reminder of who god is and his commands for his people obedience to god s word is an absolute prerequisite to success but do we want to hear all the words of god is a the law let alone do all god has commanded loving god do we want to be told the truth or have we fabricated our own world of self-deception and he and lies refusing to hear the truth but understands everybody is doing it well so-and-so did such-and-such and i m not that bad i know the journey that s true but under the circumstances i m on it s wrong but god is a loving god and he understands the journey i m on i m not to blame it s their fault on and on goes this false view of reality and truth joshua read all that moses commanded sadly too many preachers and pastors today have chosen not teach all god s word but avoided the controversial one pastor told me bro ronnie i don t preach that any more it s not worth splitting my church over yet i guess it is worth splitting god s word and not preaching all that is written in the book 6·the voice in the wilderness july 2013 virtual edition
