is true cross country the inter-league cross country championships were held at rietvlei zoo farm on friday the 7th of june the bryanston high senior boys cross country team won the interleague championships having spent the entire season undefeated as a result they are the best in gauteng in 2013 mzamo mnguni the anchor member of the team won every single league event he participated in including the inter-league and interdistrict championships congratulations to the entire team blue on 24 may the u14a u15a u16a and 1st teams travelled to bloemfontein to play against st andrews this is the 26th year that the boys have enjoyed this fixture some excellent rugby was played and the u14as pulled off a great win against their rivals well played th st andrews rugby tour winter warmer drive the winter warmer drive organised by the rcl raised a total of r5,492.40 which was donated to the rotary blanket drive to purchase 110 blankets rotary donated over 500 blankets to needy beneficiaries additional blankets collected at school see picture below went to the botshobela orphanage.

euro tour 29 pupils and 3 teachers are embarking on an european adventure for 17 days on the 19th june returning 5th july they will be visiting poland auschwitz concentration camp then going to vienna austria via train then on to italy venice florence and rome and finally travelling to paris ending at euro disney the purpose of the tour is to gain more practical knowledge of things taught in the class from history to art to geography and not forgetting maths especially how to shop shop shop and budget for a bit for food.

ipad lab update in the 3rd term we will be starting phase 3 of the ipad lab pilot project during the first two phases the ipad labs technical setup has been completed as well as teacher training the schools existing viewing room has been upgraded with a new 50 inch led tv and an apple tv device this will allow teachers and learners to connect to the tv wirelessly with the ipads to display their screens the room has been equipped with wireless access points as well a very enthusiastic group of teachers has completed a 3 phase training programme to equip them with the skills to be able to integrate the use of ipads into their lessons this training was completed recently during the 3rd term the teachers will be starting to prepare these lessons and begin integrating them learners can look forward to some fun lessons next term in the ipad lab netball the bryanston old girls team consisting of bianca chabant kelly cook amber kayser alyssa garrard natasha reynolds kelly-jo uren caitlin power lorien tolstrup candice crockett robinson robyn phillips narrowly lost 18-14 it was great to see the spirit and determination of the old girls but fitness was the limiting factor.
