letter from the executive director oh the places you ll go is the illustrated dr seuss book popular as a college graduation gift it cheerily describes the great potential of young grads each year as they move into their new phase of life in vivid colors it illustrates the unknown peril and opportunity ahead on their life mission as a missions agency started by a group of campus church plants we ve seen this best-seller more than a few times one imagines that jesus himself as he blessed and sent his disciples with a go had in mind the peril and opportunity of the much greater mission his naive but determined band of graduates walked in obedience to declare the gospel in the farthest corners of the world he knew the places they d be they didn t funny how not much has changed since then today gcm missionaries step out in faith every day many leaving careers that the world would call successful for a different kind of journey they risk personal financial security for a life living on trust they give up the common path to walk on a trek less-worn but oh the places they go in 2011 we trained more missionaries and church planters than any year in the history of gcm so we celebrate by reflecting on the increasing reach of churches and ministries who are partnered with us for evangelism discipleship and church planting into the thomas mauriello place gcm office winter park fl tom has served as the executive director of gcm since 2006 and has been with gcm since 2001.
