tauranga intermediate school 22 october 2010 school roll 1240 newsletter 2010/14 dear parents welcome back to term four and the spring term i hope you all had a pleasant vacation period with your families unfortunately the vacation period was a sad and tragic time for three of our families and our school with the loss of a mother and a brother through illness and a student through a tragic accident the sincere condolences of our school community are extended to our three families at this sad time times are hard our school is very much aware of the financial pressures on families and particularly with the onset of the end of the year and xmas we very much appreciate the generosity of many of our families in supporting through donations the climbing wall and the 12 hour relay it is not too late to donate to the rock climbing wall at $100 for a hand and foot grip or whatever amount you feel you would like to contribute the wall is now complete and in use at a total price of $106,860 gst exclusive and we are $17,000 short in our fundraising any contributions from friends of the school would be much appreciated donation form enclosed school fees a reminder please that with the end of the year fast approaching that the compulsory fees are now well and truly due please don!t compromise your child!s end of year picnics or trips by nonpayment of the essential fees you will receive another invoice from the school if this applies to you wishing you all a very happy term four regards brian we are exploring personal potential -1-

tauranga intermediate school newsletter vol 2010/13 22.10.10 cups and trophies 2009 all cups and trophies awarded in 2009 are now due back to school please return these to the main office as soon as possible please remind friends and relatives who may also be holding these awards that they are now due back to the school uniform well done on the smooth transition into summer uniform we have to wonder though where the summer has disappeared to reminder no socks with sandals long hair is to be tied up one stud only in each ear for earings gold silver stainless absolutely no bling library dates for your information book club 7 closes on wednesday 27 october book club 8 closes on tuesday 16 november we will host our local inter school literature quiz in the library on tuesday 2 november the library will close on thursday 18 november for annual stocktake all library books to be returned by that date lost or damaged books will have to be paid for pat osman and vicki wikohika librarians lost property the lost property in the wellness centre is overflowing again we have an exceptional amount of girls/boys jerseys this can be checked at any time between 8.00 am and 4.00 pm any unclaimed items will be disposed of after tuesday 30 november 2010 please have your students check for any items they may have lost we are exploring personal potential -2-
