bryanston high school newsletter 9 of 2012 7 december bryanston.com bryanstonhighschool @bryanston_high dear parents another academic year has come to an end looking back on the year i feel satisfied with our commitment to extra-murals and that our academic statistics for the end of the year are better than previous years the top-end results are outstanding and i always feel that when teachers and students are achieving outstanding results it is a reflection that we are maintaining the right standards and that we continue to inspire the achievers to achieve more i don t wish to get melancholic in my last newsletter but my biggest sadness has always been with the bottom two or three per cent of each grade who fail to meet the basic passing requirements usually through lack of family structures to support them we have a full-time psychologist on staff and the grade controller system was implemented in part to try assist in such cases as i wrote this the final national ana maths results were released and the initial reaction was one of shock at the poor performance the overall south african average for maths was 13 for grade 9 at bryanston high our maths average was well above this and our top classes had an average of over 70 it has been very pleasing and encouraging to work with mrs maxwell and the maths department to ensure that our own standards have remained high over the last 45 years and that they will continue to remain so and support no child can operate in a vacuum or in crisis and a stable family is the ideal platform for the success of any child i would like to thank all the admin staff and grounds staff for a wonderful year and mr kennedy and the governing body who have been superb in their involvement and management of our school i while the country may be would like to thank all the experiencing a serious educational parents for their support over crisis with the rapid deterioration the years of standards bryanston high remains a bastion of excellence each student in the school has a committed to a high-quality well special place in my heart and it is -rounded education for your hard to say goodbye to them all i children would like to thank them for the wonderful moments on the sports i would like to thank all our field in the classrooms at teachers for their commitment assemblies on tour on stage or and hard work over the year just having a good time at breaks they have shown great resolve these are all precious memories to maintain standards and to motivate and drive students to i wish bryanston high achieve to the best of their school every success in the ability future as i move on it has been a wonderful thirteen years and i i will always maintain that behind am grateful for every moment every hard-working involved and thank you successful student is a family or significant adults who provide consistent love structure routine dave robinson anonymous tip-offs have you witnessed some behaviour or incident at school which flaunts our code of conduct bryanston high is running an sms based anonymous tip-off initiative to give pupils a safe secure and most importantly anonymous platform to report occurrences that need reporting simply sms your anonymous tip-off to 087 041 3000 give as much detail as possible to enable us to resolve issues for you the computerized system forwards your message but not your cell number to the relevant staff at school save the number on your phone right now.
