room 3 learns about time this term for maths room 3 has been learning about time we have created lots of different types of clocks firstly we made water clocks we made holes in the bottom of plastic cups for water to run through we had lines on the side of the clock to measure the time secondly we made candle clocks we scratched lines into the candle when the candle melted it created a candle clock next we made marble clocks this was the most fun we created marble runners and using the marbles created clocks lastly we created pendulum clocks using string with pens on the end we swung the pens to create clocks we found that these clocks had good and bad points they were fun to use and easy to make however each clock was different and gave different time for example one pendulum ran faster than another pendulum this means that our clocks were not consistent.
