international business and management studies the international business and management studies ibms programme will prepare you for a successful international business career anywhere in the world the programme is taught to an international multicultural group of students and provides a strong grounding in traditional economics covering marketing sales finance and management the ibms programme provides endless opportunities for a career in finance and marketing pedro kuijt rumayor mexico i ve made good friends with people from germany chile brazil bulgaria and thailand and it s not just the students ­ the same applies to the teaching staff they also come from many different backgrounds and the level of tuition is good it s great to get such a mix in the same classroom and share all our ideas and perspectives.

the hague and the netherlands the hague is a great place to live study and work in it is an international diplomatic crossroads it is the political capital of the netherlands and home of the royal family the international criminal court peace palace the war crimes tribunal and europol give the hague its name as an international city of peace justice and security there is something for everyone in the hague enjoy the historic architecture soak up the sun on the sandy beaches and walk in the steps of mondriaan and vermeer the hague offers all the benefits of a big city with a village feel it is also home to large numbers of companies and organisations with a global influence internationally-renowned businesses like shell and siemens have their headquarters in the hague the hague is close to europe s largest port and two international airports the netherlands enjoys a strategic geographical position and is often called `the gateway to europe as a result there is a strong international flavour particularly in the country s western urban conurbation the `randstad where the hague is a central part english is widely spoken beyond the classroom between and after your classes you can grab something to eat and catch up with friends at any of the cafeterias or student lounges on campus you can also make friends and have fun by joining one of our student associations these groups of enthusiastic students get together for excursions sports cultural events discussions parties and entertainments for sporty types our sports office offers a wide range of activities you can take part in football tennis fitness golf hockey pilates rowing climbing ice skating and much more for the times when you are unwell the hague university has a health centre for students and staff conveniently located near the campus.
