the 48 star flag jamarian bell do you know the history of the american flag one of the flags is a 48 star flag it has stars a blue canton and stripes the flag has forty-eight stars each star has five points the forty-eight stars stand for the states at that time the flag has a square canton the canton is a blue space with stars the blue in the canton represents the chief the 48 star flag has thirteen stripes the stripes represent the thirteen states the stripes are red and white but the red stripe is darker than it is on any other flag i think the 48 star flag is a great flag for the u.s.a.
