master s swim lap swimmers fitness swimmers and triathletes will enjoy structured workouts and stroke technique instruction in a fun and relaxed environment swimmers will be encouraged to set individual fitness goals and participate in fitness challenges in addition swimmers who wish to participate in competitive meets will be given the opportunity meets will be held within the midatlantic area for ages 19 and up usa team swimming this program is offered to those swimmers who have prior competitive swimming experience joining the usa team provides swimmers with additional opportunities to compete at meets throughout the midatlantic region the season starts on september 10th and runs though mid-march three sessions session i september to december session ii january to march session iii april to june begins september 13th monday wednesday friday 8:15 9:15 pm 6:30 7:15 am cost $75 per swimmer per session or $215 for the entire season registration cost $275.00 per swimmer pvac dues $75.00 per swimmer diving pvac for those interested in diving the pvac diving team practices at the pvhs pool an provides the opportunity to learn the sport of diving and compete in divisional meets diving meets are held on weekends beginning in early november through january the season ends in february with a championship meet registration cost diving only $175 1st child $155 2nd child $135 3rd child registration cost diving swimming $250 1st child $230 2nd child $210 3rd child visit www.pvaquatic.com for detailed registration info forms page 7

competition team perkiomen valley aquatic club pvac is a member of the suburban aquatic league which is comprised of 22 teams in four divisions swimmers will be evaluated prior to the start of the season and placed in the appropriate practice group according to their ability swim meets are held on saturdays beginning in early november through january optional invitational meets are available throughout the season for a nominal fee not included in the registration fee the season ends in february with a championship meet practices begin on monday september 27th through mid-february at the pvhs pool registration cost all practice groups age 5 and up $200 1st child $180 2nd child $160 3rd child pvac dues $50 per swimmer for more information about the perkiomen valley aquatic club please contact coach brian zeigler at brian.zeigler@yahoo.com important dates 6-7 pm registration 7 pm parent meeting at pvhs auditorium september 10 usa team swimming practices begin september 15-17 pvac swimming evaluations september 27 pvac swim team and diving team practices begin september 8 american red cross lifeguard training students will receive american red cross life guarding standard first aid cpr for the professional rescuer and aed for adult and child certificates upon successful completion students will be certified must be 15 years old proof of age required must be able to tread water for two minutes using legs only swim 300 yards crawl stroke and breast stroke proficiently swim 25 yards surface dive to a depth of 7-10 feet retrieve a 10-pound object and return to starting point in under 90 seconds all participants are required to attend the prerequisite testing on monday 9/13/10 dates mondays from 7 to 10 pm 9/13/10­ to 11/15/10 10 weeks location pv high school pool/room 138 instructor fran wieber cost $250.00 contact fran wieber at fewiebs@comcast.net if you have any questions please visit www.pvaquatic.com for detailed registration information and forms page 8
