stoas university organizes an international course this course is set up for international students from countries in the european union and outside the course is meant for students who want to increase their knowledge in the area of education and in the area of knowledge management the course is competence-based which means that the objectives are aimed at covering knowledge and skills the graduates will need in their future jobs as teachers consultants advisers managers international workers entrepreneurs etc competence based also means that the curriculum consists of components which support the students to do their work in an effective successful and efficient way professional situations 15 ects each · learning situations with activating didactics ps3 · management situations in the agricultural and nature-based sector ps17 · self responsible learning situations srl ps4 · developmental situations in the education and in corporations ps9 · situations involving personal functioning specialization and thesis ps10 the total studyload is 75 ects european credit transfer system more information is presented in the course content in this brochure specialization in the different professional situations the student has to choose content related to agriculture or nature-based sector general course features students are trained in areas such as · teaching and training methods · knowledge systems and personal management · oral and written communicational skills · ict and digital presentation techniques · entrepreneurship in the agricultural and nature-based companies and in the public sector · designing innovative training material and the implementation of this material · creating and defending the own thesis 2 supportive education and learning on the job workplace learning during the course there will be `learning on the job and `supportive education supportive education theoretical lectures inside university training practical training centres excursions etc learning on the job practical placements at companies or educational institutes to implement the obtained theory and skills and to achieve professional competencies ps professional situations stoas university of applied sciences and teacher education

coaching during the course the students will be coached in an intensive guidance process campus facilities for the international students there is a modern campus with student rooms cooking facilities are available dependent on student demands they can apply for a single or a double room bachelor degree after passing the final assessments of each professional situation the graduate will be awarded with an international degree bachelor in education bed requirements for intake and enrolment if students meet the following requirements at enrolment 1 sept stoas can accept their earlier achieved competences during a previous university study requirements for the one-year international degree course 1 successful completion of at least 3 years of academic study this has to be confirmed by the university authorities 1.1 at a pedagogical university in agronomy or nature-based studies · examples food processing agricultural engineering environmental sciences biology landscape and garden design 1.2 at an agricultural university or academy 1.3 students from other universities can be accepted based on a colloquium doctum 2 motivation has to be satisfactory and students need to be proficient in english which is scored on the ielts system with a score of at least 6.0 in accordance to the dutch code of conduct students who want to enrol can find the application form the format for the cv curriculum vitae and the procedure on the website of stoas university erasmus students can contact the international office of their university the application form cv and motivation letter must be submitted to stoas no later than march 1 erasmus students stoas university is awarded by the european commission with the euc erasmus university charter eu students can apply both for attending one semester and two semesters 3 dutch students both dutch students and students from abroad will take part in the programme academic schedule the course starts in the second week of september the whole course takes one year and will be finished in the second week of july the course is devided in two semesters and will be intermitted by national holidays tuition the tuition fee of the course and accommodation costs can be found on our website or you can contact our information desk stoas university of applied sciences and teacher education
