good reputation of this university and the scholarship program it offers i have been here for one academic year so far and i really notice the quality of the education by the professors and the good contacts they have with industry they encourage us to delve deep in our discussions about the subject matter and give us the opportunity to work with a laboratory set-up this means we can put into practice what we have learnt in theory i had no problem moving from indonesia to the netherlands though i did have to get used to the food and the weather dutch people speak english ­ that reflects their openness from my grandpa and grandma in indonesia i had picked up a few dutch phrases but i can always use english here i will be doing my work placement here at tu/e in the electromechanics and power electronics group after i have completed my master s i would like to do a doctorate at tu/e and then gain some industrial experience before returning to indonesia ultimately i would like to philips shell unilever and tno netherlands organization for applied scientific research graduated and then graduate engineers of the master s degree program can take up a broad range of positions
