human-technology interaction tu/e a good choice high quality of education and research leading position in international university rankings excellent student facilities international contacts with leading universities eindhoven is a modern student city region of eindhoven technology hotspot in the netherlands caroline demey i got my bachelor degree in information technology at louvain la neuve in belgium in retrospect it was excessively technical and far removed from the real world i prefer doing something that involves human resources improving the interaction between people and technology fascinates me so eindhoven is right up my street in that respect it offers a great mix of technology and human factors research in my first year we built a special interface for researchers in leiden to test infants mouse or not maybe a touchscreen should we shape it as a game these were kinds of questions we faced a really interesting project solving practical issues rather than learning dry formulas this study offers a lot of freedom and that s an enormous motivation you can opt for a wide range of courses yourself and compose your own education i will be doing my graduation project at philips working on better communication via computers and internet thanks to my dutch friend i settled in very quickly although i had to get used to the language that s why i joined the student drama society doppio with some success too i now play all my roles in perfect dutch from these rapidly changing technology domains internship opportunities to prepare for your final project you will extend your knowledge by means of an international study program in another country this part of the second year of the master s program forms an invaluable addition to the program you will attend lectures in the subjects that best fit your master s program at tu/e to make this possible the master s program in human-technology interaction has strong interinstitutional links with prominent universities is closely linked to the j.f schouten school for usersystem interaction research main research themes are communication choice and control virtual and augmented environments and user interface engineering and design methodology the major aim of the research defined by these themes is to investigate how users interact with new technical products and systems requirements for admission there are a number of general requirements for admission to master s degree programs and special master s tracks · you must have a relevant bachelor s degree or equivalent based on a program of sufficient
