courses i should choose despite the fact that he s very busy he takes the time every semester to review my study periods both looking back and in the future that s something i appreciate very much first year in the first year the automotive technology educational program consists of eight generic core courses 24 ec a project assignment 6 ec the course `cars in context emergence of an automobile system in a mobile world 3 ec and nine elective courses 27 ec the elective courses enable you to become either a specialist or a generalist you can choose among more than fifty courses the eight core courses are clustered in two main separate parts driving guidance and efficient vehicle the four driving guidance courses focus on improving the safety comfort and handling of vehicles like dynamics human-car interaction and software the four efficient vehicle courses focus on reducing fuel consumption and the use of cleaner fuels while hybrid vehicles are becoming more and more widespread further research is still necessary into key aspects like the internal combustion engine drive train electrical components and energy management second year the second year consists of an internship 15 ec and a graduation project 45 ec during your internship at the beginning of the second year you will be able to put into practice what you have learned up till then and gain more insight into
