arguably the biggest event in urban rivals is the release of a new clan it s a time when the community is introduced to a new bonus new abilities new pop culture references and new options for making a profit on the market with every new clan the staff tries to give it its own style of game play and art style and with the newest addition the frozn they have successfully done so the new clan has a distinguished look and it feels fresh when used in fights thanks to its unique bonus but that isn t the only unique thing about the frozn so was the way they entered clint city even though i can t help but think the people who didn t care about the frozn event had a point i have to admit it was a fun week a large part of the community was enthusiastic the rooms had more players than usual it was e to wait for each announcement and to speculate how can a 3 star card have 10 power and 10 damage overall i feel the event was a success and certainly more exciting than the way berzerk entered the city about the clan itself it s the third eco friendly clan in urban rivals after roots and ulu watu their colors are blue and white their emblem is a snow flake the name of their leader and newest target for market manipulators is named kalindra and most importantly their bonus is `revenge power and damage +2 it s the first revenge based bonus as well as the first that boosts both power and damage and while it can be a very strong bonus just as any revenge ability it is riddled with weaknesses the bonus can t be active in the first round and can be activated at most 3 times during a fight but that would require the player to lose 3 rounds making it extremely difficult to use the frozn as a mono clan because any card with added 2 power and damage can easily become overpowered most of the cards in the clan have humble stats for their star count often closer to what would be expected from a card with one less stars and quickly transform to beasts once the bonus activates on the 1st of may the community awoke to find a new feature on the urban rivals site in the form of an event common to all urban rivals players the event was in the form of a challenge deal 50 million damage by saturday while playing in the dt rooms and something special will happen with the added bonus that at every 10 million mark we would get some sort of announcement and all of this was accompanied by an icy motif it was the first event of its kind involving the entire community and a lot of people were enthusiastic practically everyone was sure the big news would be the release of a new clan but some said the event idea is stupid some enjoyed the opportunity to troll the event by using damage reducers in dt s and others simply didn t care saying if they re ready to release a clan they ll do so regardless if we make it to 50 million damage or not so why bother less than two days into the event and at only 5 million damage dealt it was getting rather obvious the goal wouldn t be reached in time and a change to the rules was made from now on the damage from all competitive rooms would be counted towards the event and the damage counter went berserk from the first bit of information we were given at the 10 million marker it was practically confirmed there would be a new clan with promise for tech-savvy yeti s with cute names and mysterious 3 star cards with 10/10 boosted stats at the next intermediate markers we got to see some baby pictures matching the cuteness of the name tiwi as well as some additional information about the clan apparently the new clan would consist of humans and yeti s fighting to preserve their icy home on mount glatz the 50 million mark was reached a day early the clan was released we got to learn its name frozn continuing the trend of misspelled clan names in order to make them sound kewl the first 4 cards from the clan were released ayzkub annuqa nikiloda and mikaal and because we did such a good job of beating each other senseless we were awarded with the release of tiwi ld the very next day 4[close]

i had a chance to try out most of the cards from the new clan and i can say that currently their greatest strength lies with their 3 star cards the most successful use of frozn i could find was to use them as 11 or 12 star half decks in elo and standard 25 formats pairing them with a stronger half deck either from an attack manipulation clan providing good options to open a fight and draw pillz from opponents or pussycats providing stability and a strong defense i also tried using vortex as i expected the two bonuses to work well together but the lack of damage reduction and too few attack manipulation abilities often made me far too vulnerable used in a half deck i hardly ever got to use the frozn bonus more than once and sometimes i didn t use it at all yet using them in mono just made me loose far more fights than i would have liked to used in mono the lack of stability in the clan became far too easy to exploit for my opponents and every time i had to go up against sob i started crying inside i won t be giving individual reviews of the currently available frozn cards but i would like to give a few quick thoughts all of the 2 star cards in the clan are usable and do a good job choosing which one to use depends entirely on the player s preferences there isn t a bad option here as i said their 3 star cards are currently the best thing about the clan except for niqiloda and tihmpa all of them are strong cards and even those two are in no way weaklings again it s entirely up to the player s preferences to choose what to use but i would recommend using tiwi ld in your frozn half deck out of the two 4 star cards i liked mikaal more simply because he offers protection from sob and he isn t weakened by soa i haven t been able to try out kalindra but i wouldn t use ayah outside of deathmatch extended then again the clan still doesn t have enough firepower to do well in that format anyway there are simply far too many factors that can make ayah underpowered for a 5 star card soa sob all stops and she can t be used in round 1 not to mention that there a lot of 5 star cards in the game with similar and sometimes better stats without the need of a conditional ability and bonus regardless if winter is coming or not currently it s so hot where i live that my beer is literally evaporating before i even get a chance to take a sip the frozn are here and they offer a fresh style of play that is considerably different from that of any other clan in urban rivals the frozn are a welcome addition to clint city and there is plenty of fun to have with them so go to the shop and collect them all um_korovief 5[close]

little yeti tiwi ld is a friend to the robots he loves them makes them repairs them and gives them big cuddles and he looks so cute with his tools that you feel like scooping him up and giving him a big cuddle too but once you ve fallen for his charms he ll attack you with his monkey wrench and activate the ice blaster mode on his robots to unleash a savage attack so don t be mislead it s not because tiwi ld is cute that he isn t dangerous hhh 6[close]

blah blah blah tiwi ld is an 8/5 with revenge which is decent for a 3 blah blah blah let s be honest you re playing tiwi ld for his amazing defeat tiwi ld s defeat is amazing for multiple reasons first of all it has great synergy with his frozn brothers and sisters in the most basic form of gameplay you can lose with tiwi ld gain that 3 life and then get another frozn card to activate the frozn revenge bonus one could debate the benefit of defeat +life opposed to damage reduction you could say that tiwi ld has -3 opp damage minimum negative 2 the downside of this is that tiwi ld can t stop getting koed which is a valid problem if you need to win tiwi ld is generally not your man his stats are weak especially for a 3 he needs the frozn bonus to even be a threat and he has no attack manipulation to help him tiwi ld does not like soa at all losing that defeat just turns him into a very bad frozn card oddly enough winning with tiwi ld can hurt you more than help you many times while this move is very rare if your opponent lets you win with tiwi ld by throwing in their artus or something it can set you back you don t get tiwi ld s defeat you don t get the revenge bonus for frozn and at best you are rewarded with 3-5 damage which is not worth the negatives overall 9/10 despite his flaws tiwi ld is a very important core part of the frozn clan the very design of the card helps the clan not only get out the revenge bonus but also ignore very ignorant threats while the frozn do not have any damage reducers as of yet tiwi ld is the closest thing they have to one right now and he is a good one he is only slightly less damaging than the almost staple 3 berserk lola it is hard to evaluate if tiwi ld is better than sah brinak due to the different roles they play sah brinak is a stronger card who has a much better chance at winning the game for you through her aggression but tiwi ld is the support that can let you get to that point i give tiwi ld a higher rating because he is slightly less flawed of a card this does not mean he is more useful it really depends on the deck although i do support using both slify 7[close]

just as the last of the shinto rituals was being done yumi gazes up at futoshi flashes a grandmotherly smile and says don t screw this up boy in an odd way it fondly reminded him of his mother when she did the basic training that made most of his clanmates back off in terror he didn t care he let her boink him on the head with her cane while he did pushups or she routinely quizzed him on the history of sumo when he was sleeping he could take it he wasn t japan s most prominent warrior for no reason don t worry kamakura a pretty asian with a long braid pats her clanmate on the shoulder you look adorable an amateur this shouldn t be too bad or at least a mixed blessing sure the cop might be easy to beat but then again futoshi hadn t done much sumo in a long time he wanted to get back into doing it for old times sake and kamakura was the only man they could find that could fit the bill oddly there were no fellow sumos in all stars and none of members wanted to get fat enough to try they must be vain futoshi thought as frank came in dressed as a gyoji at least they were nice enough to let them borrow the stadium draw a crowd and provide him with the amusement of seeing a white guy in japanese garb with the rituals finally done and a quick fling of frank s gunabi there was no turning back or time to think as kamakura instantly performed a tachi-ai damn futoshi growled hardly believing that a man of his girth could charge him so quickly and make him skid back a few steps ok no more underestimating if the cop could do that to him futoshi would shock them just as hard seizing kamakura s mawashi he attempts to pick him up he did it before with guys almost as wide and this wouldn t be any different who knows maybe he d impress that lady-friend of his or one of the other cute officers from his clan he could just imagine the look of awe on their faces as he managed to get kamakura s feet about three inches off the ground just a few feet a good heeve-ho out of the ring and he would be free to soak-up the glory but then he suddenly stops and he couldn t go any farther 8[close]

you fool yumi shouts just loud enough for him and everyone in two rows behind her to hear as she pointed at their feet the very balls of kamakura s feet hit the sand stopping futoshi s progress long enough for him return the favor in a fury of open-handed slaps damn this wasn t looking good and yumi would make sure he wouldn t live it down if he hit the floor but what to do hitting eye poking hair pulling he d be out of butt within seconds just like the five-thousand clintz half of his clan had bet on in his favor he just couldn t let them down especially linda who made the stupid drunken bet in the first place now only inches from the edge his mind shouted at him to do something oicho throw not exactly within sumo tradition but with a few adjustments it could work usually he would draw energy from his fans support during his battles but here he was just a small fish in a pond full of warriors his clanmates mix of desperation and hope would have to do what do you know he could feel that familiar crackle of energy rushing through his hands and eyes grasping kamakura s shoulders futoshi could easily sense a slight tinge of fear in his opponent oicho throw he could almost swear the arena fell silent the second he tossed kamakura onto the ground the loud thud combined with the swish of frank s gunabi was all futoshi could hear before someone in the audience finally broke the silence that s all that was barely a minute the man and his three bumpkin friends started booing forcing frank to grab the nearest microphone and explain everything before they could influence anyone else stupid gaijins futoshi mutters under his breath as he watches the woman with the braid and two of her female clanmates help kamakura up maybe the new-found attention he was hoping for wouldn t come instantly but with his victory and his now smiling clanmates he knew it wouldn t be long yaoihuntresse 9[close]

k 8 solid power is always a wonderful thing to have in addition a solid 4 damage is also very good for a 3 thanks to his solid power his defeat has a lot of potential with a small pill investment your opponent gambles to either stop your 4 damage and give you a nice pill lead and take the 4 which is a good chunk of life even if andy ld is played as a bluff you get that free pill thanks to the defeat thanks to the skeelz bonus andy ld doesn t have to worry about soaers like almost all skeelz cards andy ld is very playable even without his bonus thus have no fear when splashing him in your half deck in fact sob and soa really do nothing to andy ld that is always a plus not a huge flaw at all but andy ld does not like fighting damage reducers also not a big flaw but andy ld has no ability that helps him in combat his defeat only matters if you lose protection soa is nice but does nothing unless against soa even then it protects a defeat-based bonus thus andy ld is just an 8/4 if you need to win usually i save this part for the overall but andy ld has a really bad case of the competition overall 8/10 in any other clan andy ld would be a much higher rated card he has nice power solid damage and a very useful ability the problem is the skeelz have some of the best 3 in the game chiara is the queen praxie evades dr if you re running mono-skeelz you have to use sandro and snowflake also has much potential thus the incentive to use andy ld is low but he is a solid card and if defeat is more your playstyle you ll want to consider him le_shlaxer_bz slify 13[close]

a very strong damage reduction of -3 the low minimum is also very welcome nathan also hurts very hard 5 damage is above average for a 3 it is very nice nathan isn t the worst duelist if he has his bonus he can fight cards with 7 power evenly due to his all-around everything it is hard to pill effectively against nathan even if i beat nathan i lose a card deal much less damage and might have even lost pills to avoid that 5 damage it s a hard card to play against thus it is sometimes hard to determine if nathan is a bluff or actually committed to the damage nathan is pretty weak to most forms of manipulation against sob nathan generally becomes purely dr which isn t a terrible thing soa makes nathan a weaker dueler for the all-stars due to his low base power nathan is a bit weaker to attack manipulation than most um nathan is weak to dr but that is just silly not a huge flaw but if nathan really has to win you ll wish you had robb cr or randy instead in many cases overall 8.5/10 i think nathan is a fantastic card when compared to ashley he is one more star for 4 more damage and a lower minimum i think that is worth a star personally but in all seriousness nathan has a lot of potential he is hard to fight against his ability is nice and all stars don t have a 3 dr yet in fact they only have a 2 ashley and a 4 marina to use for dr purposes also a fun fact he is currently one of 2 3 the all stars have for standard the other being karen outside of standard you ll probably want robb cr but you will want more than one 3 if your deck needs more damage reduction nathan is your man mihoansatsu le_shlaxer_bz slify 15[close]
