process and equipment design the programme process and equipment design trains and educates m.sc graduates to become a qualified designer capable of designing `fit for purpose and `first of its kind products processes and equipment it encourages you to actively look beyond the perimeters of your own discipline and to recognise the challenges and restrictions imposed by product chain management time and money during design projects you bring industrial and academic knowledge together and apply them in real industrial assignments the programme is fulltime and takes two years to complete when you successfully complete the programme you will receive a certified diploma you will be entitled to use the academic degree professional doctorate in engineering pdeng you will be registered as a technological designer in the dutch register kept by the royal institution of engineers in the netherlands kivi niria the quality of the programmes is guaranteed by an assessment and certification procedure on behalf of the dutch certification committee for courses to become technological designer ccto nederlandse certificatie commissie voor opleidingen tot technologisch ontwerper programme structure the programme s focal point lies in the interdisciplinary area of the design of processes and equipment for process design specialist knowledge of several disciplines is required and applied in an integrated manner the programme focuses on deepening of knowledge by studying a number of specialised subjects applying acquired knowledge improving understanding of economical and managerial aspects in plant design and operation there is also a focus on broadening of knowledge by studying elements from related technical areas adding industrial sciences emphasising the multidisciplinary context integrating knowledge and skills from other disciplines executing an individual design project ipd under real industrial conditions also practising of team work is a part of the programme executing project management activities executing roles in group design project gdp teams.
