international student visa 1 student visa international exchange/visiting students must obtain a student visa at the brazilian embassy or consulate in their home countries after receiving their letter of acceptance from insper please note that a tourist visa is not valid for permanence in brazil as an international student visas must be obtained before admission into brazil a tourist visa cannot be converted into a student visa once the student has left his/her country of origin students without student visas will not be enrolled at insper 2 registration at the policia federal once the student arrives in brazil all international/exchange students must register at the polícia federal within 30 days of their arrival registration at the polícia federal is mandatory polícia federal address rua hugo d antola 95 3rd floor ­ lapa ­ são paulo ­ sp open from monday to friday 8:00 am ­ 4:00 pm the best way to get to the polícia federal is by car or taxi the polícia federal office is near ponte do piqueri ­ marginal tietê important due to the very large number of applicants visa registration waiting time at the federal police may exceed 6 hours 2.1 registration appointment we suggest you to book your registration appointment in advance booking your appointment after arrival may cause extra delays on your daily life in brazil bank account documents etc website http tinyurl.com/6qerfxk there are 3 steps in this process step 1 fill out personal information form step 2 schedule your appointement step 3 generate tax forms just follow bellow 3 the instructions
