our adventure in auckland by bernadine nash weeks away from school and i was stuck in a car with my friend ellie harris her mum helen harris my sister danielle and my cool mum bobbi for two hours headed for auckland the reason we were headed for auckland was to show the harris what we had formally known as our home after two hours of putting up with things going wrong e.g my first mp4 music player broke by not recognizing the ear phones we had finally arrived at sylvia park which meant shopping floors and floors of it i had never really liked shopping but with my mum and a loaded wallet i happily skipped in with ellie and danielle and the parents trailing behind us danielle ran up and into a smiggle store we shortly followed danielle ran up to a shelf and grabbed all that she could luckily mum made her put it all back i thought what a waste of time i got away with a ten pack of highlighters and erasable highlighter so cool and a pen with four colours red blue black and green when we got back to the car mum looked down at her watch and realised that we had spent five hours at sylvia

park two more shops to go mum said with more smiggles danielle replied in her bubbly voice in my head i was like `great not when the car stopped danielle and ellie raced in closely followed by helen which left mum and me trailing behind ruby s shoe store was the best store that we had gone into in that mall the only bad thing was it smelt like the bottom of a shoe we spent five minutes looking for a shoe that mum wanted it was like playing a match up game with hundreds of pairs but we found it eventually the last stop was a mall that ellie s family went to when they were in auckland ellie raced through the crowd and into another smiggle shop five minutes in and i had have enough smiggle to last a long time but not forever my feet ached and i was ready to go home mum forced danielle not to buy anything but ellie bought an eraser pens a book and a lunch box after we drove to my aunt val s house to spend the night it was slow because of traffic and it was a long time to get there but it was worth it we dumped our stuff and headed to the food canteen ellie and i both chose butter with rice after a big fight danielle got

her way with fried chicken and chips i wish she would choose something different but i did not care i was dying to get back to aunt val s and eat i was starved after dinner ellie danielle and i watch a movie alice in wonderland my favourite people/animal is the grinning cat and the hatter then we kicked ellie out of our bedroom and tried to get some sleep before tomorrow s long road trip back home wow a whole day shopping sounds like torture to me bernadine but you obviously liked it i like how you have organised you recount and it all makes sense i can really hear your voice in this recount and it great to see you adding your own personal thoughts and feelings be careful in your introduction not to make your lists too long.
