what a holiday come on kids in the car my mother whispered trying not to wake up my noisy little sister shelby it was 9pm at night,only 1 week away from christmas and my mum,dad,cousin lynell,cute little sister shelby my obnoxious brothers and i were on our way to the small town of pahiatua to see some of our close relatives.knowing it was going to be a long 10 hour trip,from my house in whangarei we packed drinks,snacks and basically everything we needed for our very distant trip ahead of us first we had arrived in the lit up city of auckland it was all quiet i could hear nothing but the sounds of cars zooming past.it was the perfect time to sleep,i began to shut my eyes when all of a sudden boston move over my brother addon yelled no boston loudly replied back.what was a lovely quiet trip soon turned into a noisy riot eventually the fighting became faint and what was a loud racket soon turned into peaceful snoring for the rest of the way there soon i awoke to a bright sunlight gleaming into my eyes i glanced around,wondering if i could recognize anything around me and believe or not i could we were in palmerston north only 30 mins away from our exciting destination.it was around 6:30am and after a quick macdonalds brekky and a short brake we finally arrived in frezzing cold pahiatua.thinking i was going to dart into my nana s house instead i slowly saunterd like i hadn t slept for a week i may

have had a long sleep but i was still very tired yawn brittane wake up i started to hear little voices going through one ear and out the other i slowly opened my eyes to find it was my little mechanic cousin isaiah my eyes grew as big as boulders as i gave him a big hug after lots of hugs and another long rest we began our holiday adventure starting with shopping i quickly rushed through the doors of palmerston north s giant mall my rather tall cousin faith showed me around the enormous mall then we began the shopping we spent hours trying on clothes in glassons supre cotton on and truck loads more when we entered dotti having not spent my money on anything yet i suddenly saw a gorgeous coral pink skirt for just $10 dollars what a bargain i just had to buy it soon after shopping we had a short lunch break at pita pit which is a delicious pita bread filled with whatever filling you like i had the hot creamy chicken breast filling yum eventually we went home i went to bed that night with a huge cheesy grin on my face and that was just the first day i knew tomorrow was going to be even better brittane wake up i awoke to a loud voice piercing my ears i opened my weeping eyes to find a blurry vision of my cousin hope i looked down to find her wearing her togs thinking she was just messing around i shut my eyes and turned back around fine then she said in a cheeky tone i guess you don t want to go to the wave pools i immediately threw off my fuzzy warm blanket and rushed towards my suitcase with

clothes flying everywhere i then pulled out my black and pink togs and slipped them on soon our whole family were off to the wave pools ready with our togs on and towels around our waists i was so excited to bounce in the fake waves rushing down the long lime green slide and what adults don t like hot spas to relax in i was just bouncing up and down with joy when all of a sudden the van came to a stop we had only been driving in the van for 2 minutes we couldn t have been there yet but when i looked forward i found we were at the pools just not the wave pools my face went dead bland i went from so excited to very annoyed the pool is going to be tiny and freezing cold i thought to myself i disappointedly walked up through the pools front entrance to find a huge pool of crystal clear blue water that sparkled when the sun hit it it may have been cold but i got use to it days then weeks past of us doing the most exciting activities when it soon came to the point where there was nothing left to do to be honest there is nothing really to do in pahiatua,is just a small loving town well i was just about to give my hopes up when my active aunty dayna walked in come on girls she said sweetly where going shopping yes i said desperately i had gone shopping with my cousin not long ago but it was better than sitting around doing nothing well once again my aunty cousin hope lynell and i arrived at palmerston north s noisy mall there were loads of people everywhere feeling rather worried i then realized i knew where everything was now unfortunately there were no sales in any of the styley fashion stores so i went to kmart where everything was a bargain about 30 mins past and i had brought a hot pink zebra bag creamy chocolate truffles and

a gorgeous white top for only $8 dollars now that s a bargain before we left i had one last look in dotti for the last time i got my lovely coral pink skirt that i was wearing surprisingly i had no luck there was nothing everything was gone i walked out of dotti quite disappointed we were on our way to the car heading for the exit when suddenly we were stopped by security guards apparently they had regards on my skirt thinking i stole it my aunty had a confused look on her face and after explaining to them when i got it and why i didn t steal it they finally let us leave but hey my aunty wasn t mad at them for long on the way home i gave her some of my delicious chocolate truffles then she was as happy as a bunny in candyland well what was the start of a long boring trip soon turned into a extraordinary adventure filled with shopping swimming and plenty of other exciting activities including a great big misunderstanding what a holiday by brittane watson i know how you feel after the long trip to palmerston north i did that many times as a kid too brittane this is a very full and exciting recount your bubbly enthusiasm and excitement is very obvious and it make the reader want to read on to see what else you did there are a few errors still that need to be corrected make sure you punctuate your speech marks and some of your sentences are a bit too long
