my talents and background hello everyone my name is pamela and i am 25 years old i graduated from saint josephs college with a bachelor of arts in child study i am certified to teach from birth to sixth grade in both general and special education i am currently a special education teacher and i work for the dept of education i teach at p4k in bed-stuy brooklyn this is a district 75 school i teach a 12:1:1 alternate assessment classroom with children classified as having mental retardation or being emotionally disturbed the age range in my class varies from 8 years old which is third grade to 10 years old which is fifth grade this is my third year teaching the same population in april i received tenure although we have two brand new mac desktops in my classroom technology is not often used in my school the way it should be i am currently working in obtaining my masters degree in education to continue teaching this is my third year teaching and i love my job before i began my teaching career i worked in a medical office for seven years as a supervisor at a young age i was given this job position that entitled many different roles and responsibilities some of my responsibilities entailed supervising the office staff billing insurance payments staff work schedules doctor schedules and computer auditing i consider myself to be a very hard and dedicated worker i go above and beyond to achieve my dreams and make sure they come true the sky is the limit my final project pamela duarte page 7

content specialty test cst the content specialty test is a component of the new york state teacher certification examinations nystce offered in specific subjects the cst typically consists of multiple-choice questions and a written assignment the csts in languages other than english and music include taped listening and/or speaking components and a written assignment the purpose of the test is to assess knowledge and skills in the subject of the certificate sought professor stein developed this workshop for touro college students to review and prepare for the nys-tce for students with disabilities exam this is both a review a training and a quiz all educators and students preparing for the exam are welcome to use this free preparation this is a great exercise tool to use to practice for the cst the great thing about this practice quiz is that you can take the test multiple times if you are interested in practicing for the cst exam for free check out the link below good luck cst swd quiz i took the cst swd quiz and passed this is my certificate below back to table of contents my final project pamela duarte page 8

internet acceptable use policy iaup i believe the 3 rules of the iaup i listed above are three of the most important rules in the iaup children should have the right to privacy and no personal information should be posted on the internet without permission once information is made public on the internet anyone can search and view the information students should not post personal information especially about other students everyone is entitled to their own privacy it should be up to the person on what student information each school must obtain written parental consent prior to the disclosure of student information or student work on any department web page student information includes name address school name grade class photograph writing or other creative work or any other student educational record my final project pamela duarte page 9
