r i 9 ochester nform how ordinary materials can replace organs of the respiratory system grade th by juan felipe ochoa b this bimester in biology class we did a project about how ordinary materials can replace organs from the respiratory system the most important aspect we need to take into account is the function of each part of the respiratory system based on that now we can look for a material that could make the same function for example to replace the trachea we need a flexible but resistance material with kind of rings surround it so we use a tube that has a kind of rings that surround it flexible and resistance we make this model juliana peña mateo tamayo juan pablo tangarife and me we use ordinary material such as tube sponges balloons and straws for lung that it is make of smooth muscle and need to extend to receive more oxygen so we use a balloon because you can extended it and it is not make form a hard material and for the final example the alveoli that is where the gas exchange occur we need a material that let oxygen make diffusion thought it so we choose an sponge because it have big holes to make oxygen diffusion 6

r i 9 ochester nform th grade trip from madrid to manchester by juan felipe ochoa b in math class we saw how to get the distance of a line in a circle with the angle of the line and the radio of the circle the formula is sdistance angle x radioof the circle using our knowledge in circles we need to calculate how much time it is need to go from madrid spain to manchester england first we need to know the angle between madrid and manchester that is 13 degrees second we need to convert 13 degrees into radians that is 13ttpi 180 then we need to apply the formula of s=axr so we multiply 13tt/180 and 3690 miles that is the radio of the earth the result of the formula is 837.2 miles that is our distance between madrid and manchester now if we suppose we are traveling in an airbus 320cruise velocity 900km/h we can get the time using the equation of velocity that is v=ddistance ttime we solve the equation to find time so our new equation will be like this t=v/d so we change 837.2 miles into km that is 1398.2 km and divide by 900km/h so our result will be 1.55 h from madrid to manchester in an airbus 320 photo made in google earth by me 13
