birdy times katie the girl who saved the world ~cheyene bird once upon a time there was a girl who lived in niagara falls ontario her name was katherine jane larose people there called her katie one day katie noticed that the water from niagara falls was a different color than a couple of days previous she went home to her parents and told them about the trouble she said mother father help you wouldn t believe what i saw at the waterfall it is brown has trash and smells terrible they said they would try to helping by calling one of their friends who works for occ witch is ontario s city counsel but no one was there to answer the call that her mother had gaven a couple days later her parents went and checked out the problem and what they saw shocked them beyond belief there was trash every where because people were throwing their litter in the water there was so much trash in the water because when someone would throw there trash in the water and someone else would watch and then do the same thing 3 days later a mysterious death happened it was katie s best friend savanna who pasted away then people were passing away for no reason now katie knew what was going on the air was so polluted that things started too happened to everyone and that there was a serious problem going on that needed to be fixed that night katie s father said we need to move to somewhere that s safe my daughter katie said nowhere is safe anymore and i will not move from ontario niagara falls by now the earth was totally damaged by waste katie went out on to a stage and a t.v crew caught her on tape and t.v and said that the earth is in really bad shape then she said we have not taken very good care of our environment and you should know that the air is being polluted when katie was done with her speech no one believed her because the sky was always dark and that there was pollution every where on the streets in water and every where you looked katie had to think up a plan before everything else went wrong her plan now was to get people to start cleaning up the earth in every state and country now everyone believed her everyone started to clean up the earth it took six years to clean up the world now everyone knows to take great care of the world katie and everyone else was full of joy and happiness and a person picking up trash on the streets back to normal because there was not as much trash or pollution on the ground in the air and in the beautiful waters of the niagara falls!

birdy times buddy week at soda creek elementary school here at soda creek elementary school they are having buddy week buddy week is once a year and the student council plans the events for the week this they are doing 2 activities ­ one is a day without using paper and one is an arts and crafts activity with a buddy class today they had a buddy activity in mrs white s classroom and they got to make hope flags in honor of martin luther king hope flags are flags with letters on them for instance f on the flag stands for family and friends all throughout the week teachers and students were getting together to do there hope flags mrs white s 5th graders went and interviewed teachers and students about the activities they did that week anna terranova said that it was amazing and just so much fun to do julia a 5th grader said it was fun and challenging to make hope flags you had to use your imagination here at soda creek buddy week was a great activity for everyone ~cheyene bird children working on science and writing the american flag

birdy times walking a dog by cheyene bird the greatest place to walk a dog is by the river on the bike path have you ever wanted to walk a dog first you take the leash off the hooks from in the entry way of the door before you put the leash on the dog allow it to smell your hand your next step is to go and get the dog from the backyard or from where ever then you put the leash on the dog s collar next you walk the dog down the front steps onto the front yard when you get on to the sidewalk make sure you have control of the dog at all times or you will get pulled down to the ground if the dog starts to whine pull the dog over to the side you pulled the dog over because the dog has to go the bathroom finally start walking the dog home last of all take the leash back off the dog this daily walk will make you feel great and your dog too a woman walking her dog
