cross country our school cross country will take place next wednesday may 30th weather permitting we will begin with the junior team at 9am and simply run the middle and senior races as the other runners return we encourage everyone to change into sports clothing for this event and then change back into their school uniform at the conclusion we recommend everyone wears running/soft shoes as parts of the course are quite rough we invite all families/whanau to come along and support the runners following our own event a team will be selected to attend the interschool cross country on tuesday june 5th all those involved will receive a letter advising of this and asking for parent support with transport non-uniform items we are noticing that children are beginning to wear non-uniform items especially pants and shoes that do not conform to the uniform guidelines by now everyone will be familiar with the uniform items that are to be worn notes will be sent home with children who do not comply we simply ask parents to support this requirement road safety we are concerned that we have a number of kindy and parkland school parents who walk their children across parkland cres instead of using the patrolled crossing pedestrian crossings if you are within 20 metres of a pedestrian crossing or traffic signals you must use the crossing footbridge underpass or pedestrian traffic signals to cross the road we would encourage everyone to model safe road usage use the pedestrian crossing please
