solid carbide milling cutters description of tool type for the machining of soft tough and long chipping materials to 500 n/mm2 especially for the machining of aluminium and aluminium alloys with a silicon content 3 the coated variant is preferred for high performance machining of aluminum and copper with long service lives starting from a silicon content of 3 we recommend using the ti1005-coated type for the machining of aluminium using low power machines with ground chip breakers good surface quality is obtained high speed tool with ripper geometry for the high performance machining of aluminum materials the type acr monstermill has an irregular tooth pitch polished surfaces and through coolant ideally suited to components for the aerospace industry high speed tool for high performance with excellent service life the type icr is specifically for the machining of rust and acid-proof steel as well as heat resistant materials such as inconel hardox and hasteloy it is however universally applicable without chip breakers for machining of materials with tensile strength to approx 1000 n/mm2 universal roughing tool suitable for slot and profile milling steel softer stainless steel casting aluminum alloys and copper alloys can be machined with this geometry tool with ripper profile on the major cutting edge for the production of small chips which can be removed more easily from slots and pockets than conventional edges universal application in most materials high speed tool developed primarily for dry maching of steel by its special geometry the tool remains relatively cool despite high cutting speeds and tooth loads which works against thermal shocks the geometry makes for ideal employment on low power machines without chip breakers for machining of high tensile and short cutting materials to 70 hrc for hardnesses over 63 hrc we recommend the use of tools with the coating ti2000 tool with finer ripper profile on the major cutting edge than type nr thereby improving surface quality this geometry is suitable for high tensile materials 13 4 www.wnt.com

solid carbide milling cutters solid carbide rough milling cutter with latest technology these milling tools are implemented with patented chip breakers as well as a version with patented interior cooling the roughing cutters 52 338 52 339 and 52 340 to 52 343 are produced with chip breakers on the diameter and with additional chip breakers on the rake angle the main advantage of this geometry is the production of very small comma chips and the reduction of chip jamming as these light chips are easily exhausted with air or emulsion 52 340 and 52 341 for the machining of stainless materials as well as titanium and titanium alloys also suitable for application in softer steel 52 342 and 52 343 for the machining of steel and iron also suitable for application in stainless materials additional chip breakers in the flutes reduce the risk of chip jamming the articles 52 338 and 52 339 have internal teeth cooling ducts which exit axially and into the chip flutes some of these ducts are rear facing towards the shank further improving chip evacuation irregular pitch means smooth running 13/24 www.wnt.com
