1 why are you applying for mcvp 12.13 what will be your contribution and what do you expect to learn for experience rather than apply for a position i am looking to maximize my positive impact in national level i decided to take this step because i trust in aiesec in mexico and i am th sure 50 anniversary will be the key of success for this and next terms i have worked strongly in the first and second part of alumni national long term strategy and i firmly believe in the alumni relations potential in mexico because this is the moment to act and start a new age of win to win relations and be the best gcp in the global network we can make it i have got a lot of passion in everything what i do and i want to share my dreams and work with you my biggest contribution will be demonstrating how people like me with flaws and weaknesses can achieve great things and convince others that each of us has the leadership and potential impact that aiesec mexico needs and this positions gives us the opportunity to make it real 2 what is your understanding about leadership brief yourself as a leader leadership is a set of virtues than people can get born or practicing a peculiar vision of the right way to act and achieve common goals the courage to take the risk to fulfill it and share leadership is inspiring others to act for a better world not just taking decisions for others i consider myself a leader in continuous growth i can learn a lot yet but i understand my role developing others and enjoying the participation with others we are leaders and leaders create new leaders let s do it right 3 what culture and leadership style would you like to see aiesec having what would be your key strategies to foster these i think the leadership of aiesec in mexico could have got more influence to other organizations and society we often encourage leadership just on internal perspective i am saying that we limit ourselves to leadership ourselves we need to understand leadership in aiesec as a generator of fresh ideas activating aiesecers as external young people i would like an aiesec with strong social responsibility creating social projects based on exchanges and taking advantage of opportunities that will enable us to achieve for example the support and advice from our alumni the real change agents only with concrete actions and clearly visible to society we will earn the respect that we deserve as organization i think we can change the idea of an aiesec leader works for society because we should be aiesec leaders are who make society work for itself and thereby increase and maximize the real impact that our world needs 4 share with us 3 of your strengths on which you will leverage during your mc year and how they will contribute to a successful 2012-2013 mc term as well as tell us 3 of your weaknesses on which you would like to work on during the term strengths motivating this will help me to spread motivation for lcvps alumni relations to develop their corporate skills and achieve our results committed i really focus on goals and work to finish them i can make great things happen with the minimum of resources and enjoy working on teams reliable i like work in team i think this mc has the potential to be one of the best of aiesec in mexico s history and i want to be part of that weaknesses first contact i have got some troubles giving my confidence to other people normally i am so reserved at first time but this is solving with commitment trust and team work speaking i have got some troubles with my diction sometimes i forgot words and is a bad knack but i am working on that couching and faci work will force me to improve this hassle distracting normally when i talk with someone and mentioned something interesting i start to analyze other scenarios and lose the conversation i am learning to listen properly mcvp bd/alumni application form david ramos suarez 3

4 how do we increase the quality of the aiesec conferences so we can capitalize them i think we have got enough experience to know how the conferences are planning about organization sales and execution we must create portfolios containing basic inputs from oc members of the most successful conferences in recent years such as xm veracruz everest of itam and conal in monterrey these should be supported with y2b with the option to adapt to local realities we must create a standardized advertising plan to capture the attention of local community student months before its execution and it should be attended not only by aiesec members but by students of local university we could evaluate the possibility to extend to one year the period of organization since announcement of lc host elected to execution at least the two major conferences and sellable conal and npm we must coordinate to sell local conference package smi planning weekend paho ttt etc for example each of 22 entities of aiesec in mexico has a smi and the event attracted 30 young people we are talking not about a small event but a chain of events with an audience of 630 young people with a specific profile throughout the country during the current period several conferences have been created local regional and thematic ones which i think are good initiatives by membership but we must standardize the way to sell and make more attractive products to companies and provide detailed characteristics of events and give them right promises 5 how you capitalize engagement with aiesec and life-long connection phases th of aiesec experience with the 50 anniversary strategy 50th anniversary strategy will fail if it doesn t work for aiesec impact as i explained we need an event of huge dimensions it means mass promotion and participation of every members engaging stakeholders as students universities companies and ngos this event is going to be the strategy to become aiesec as a famous ngo like greenpeace teleton or rotary international if we expect get the top desirable partner status we need start to thinking big and impact every young people in the world st the culmination of alignment with life-long connection phase in mexico will be the 1 aiesec national alumni summit with the generation of work field and synergy between aiesec in mexico and amea this allow us get a new age of corporate or/and social cooperation with benefits in both ways this is the dream of every local alumni relations area has had since i remember mcvp bd/alumni application form david ramos suarez 10
