te puke intermediate specialist middle school education page 2 stationery and school fees students who have not already purchased their packs have received their stationery list which also includes school fees te puke intermediate sells stationery packs which are very cost effective and contain everything required by all the classes extra items can still be purchased throughout the year when they are required school fees are not donations and therefore not optional they cover extra items for your child in the technology and cultural programme throughout the year there are numerous ac vi es that your child will be involved in that requires payment of money this can be quite stressful on families to find the extra money many of our previous families have set up a regular direct credit of $5 10 per week which is credited to your child s school account and it remains in credit ready for such expenses i strongly recommend this op on for anyone who has a child who likes to be fully involved in ac vi es to set this up simply ring our school execu ve officer mrs nicole koers on 573 9352 ext 801 finances e pos is available at the school office for payment of all accounts 8am 4pm class placements occasionally at the beginning of the year we have a few students who are desperately unhappy over their class placement perhaps because they don t know anyone in the class or they wanted to be in another class this is a perfectly normal reaction and we ask both parents and pupils to be patient and wait 2 3 weeks before contacting me in almost all cases the situation fixes itself in that time and they very quickly make friends and form peer groups this process reflects `life and is a situation they will come across again in the future where parents have made specific requests we have on the whole been able to meet those requests however some were not met either due to the process not being followed correctly or they were just not possible this year all new items of our uniform are compulsory there have been changes made over the past two years to the polar fleece polo shirt boys shorts and boys winter socks prior to this a change was made to the girls skirt also in order to keep prices down we are now the sole supplier of our school uniform and during the term the uniform shop is open from 2-3pm daily your child is expected to have all uniform requirements at school every day this includes the hat pe gear and uniform shoes sport pe house meetings or house comp occur every day and so pe gear is required every day and should remain in your child s school bag uniform shoes at this time of the year are roman sandals blue black or brown our expectation is that all students will be equipped in correct uniform by tuesday 7 february uniform detentions will be issued for non uniform items from this day if you need clarification of the accepted uniform or piercings please refer to your 2012 information booklet or our website if for some reason your child cannot be in correct uniform then a note signed by a parent must be sent valid for the one day to the classroom teacher your child is responsible for giving this to the teacher at roll call at 8.40am if the non uniform item is unacceptable to us we will loan correct uniform to your child for the day uniform 2012
