willy the whale and willy-willy the wind by sydney poirier once upon a time there was a whale named willy the whale one day willy the whale was swimming near south west australia with his friends willy the whale was the curious one in the group his mother told him not to leave the group but of course he did not listen he left the group because he saw something that was spinning he went over to it not thinking if it would suck him up and take him somewhere what happened was that it sucked him up and he got knocked out by a boulder when he woke up he found somebody standing over him the person said hi i m willy wonka willy the whale started to choke when he tried to say his name willy wonka called his oompa loopas to put him in the chocolate river they put him in then willy the whale said hi i m willy the whale do you know where i came from yes i do know where you came from you came from a tropical cyclone called a will-willy they are usually near south west australia hey you must be hungry i ll get you some gummy fish after willy the whale ate willy wonka his oomapa loopas and willy the whale set off on their journey to find a cyclone it took three years to find another willy-willy when they finally found one willy wonka and his oompa loopas said their last good bye s and off went willy the whale in about three days willy the whale was reunited with his friends and family the end
