vrha reining show conditions of entry any complaint or dispute must be addressed to the rider s representative all competitors and their contacts enter the venue grounds at their own risk the committee of the victorian reining horse association inc and management of werribee park national equestrian centre will not be held responsible for any accident sickness to any horse owner rider handler or competitor spectator or property competitors who have not previously signed a reining australia waiver form must do so before competing no conversation by a competitor will take place with the judge/s except through the rider s representative no smoking or the use of mobile phones to be used by a rider in the warm up arena marshalling area during open pen or in the show arena werribee park national equestrian centre risk management conditions must be adhered to at all times riders and handlers using the indoor arenas when not competing must be neatly attired with correct riding boots no sneakers jeans or western pants neat shirt or top that covers the body no sleeveless and western hat or cap victorian reining horse association has been given compensation from werribee park national equestrian centre to wear soft hats cowboy hats when riding in the indoor arenas only in all other areas of the venue an approved current australian standard hard helmet must be worn otherwise the horse will be led victorian reining horse association recommend the use of an approved australian standard hard helmet for all competitors any accident or injury is to be reported to the victorian reining horse association show office or werribee park national equestrian centre management enquiries to peter tjepkema 0418 321 289 paul barrat 0418 534 544 risk management conditions these conditions must be adhered to at all times werribee park national equestrian centre committee of management considers it a privilege that you are allowed to bring your dog to this venue we insist you keep your dog under effective control at all times 2 approved safety helmets must be worn at all times when riding 3 cross country obstacles must not be jumped/used unless a non riding adult aged 18 years and over is present 4 riding of horse bareback is prohibited 5 riding of rugged and/or unbridled horses is prohibited 6 any person may lead a maximum of two horses while mounted 7 stallions must be at all times in the control of a person aged 17 years or more when led or ridden 8 horses are not permitted in/upon the quadrangle between the barn indoor 1 9 horses are not permitted near pedestrian doorways 10 bicycles are not permitted in the indoor arenas or any stable block approved helmets must be worn at all times 11 bicycles are not permitted near doors designated as public entrances or exits 12 motorcyclists must wear approved safety helmets and hold the appropriate licence 13 speed limits must be adhered to at all times the speed limit at wpnec is 10km p/h 14 power leads must not be on the ground 15 construction of portable/tape yards is prohibited 16 alcohol must not be consumed in the indoor arenas unless purchased from the licenced bar located in indoor arena no 1 17 please observe all signs at the venue 18 horses must be tied in a safe manner horses must not be tied to unattached horse floats wheelie bins etc 19 no infrastructure to be erected on wpnec grounds without written approval by management prior to event 1 these conditions apply unless the manager or committee of management has given the discipline/event/activity concerned an exemption.

stables and day yards in choosing to book stables or use the day yards at werribee park national equestrian centre you are agreeing to the following policies werribee park national equestrian centre reserves the right to change your stable/yard booking at all times you will be notified of any changes made by our office stables lists will be left in the window of the wpnec office as of close of business on the day prior to an event all stables are to be left clean at the end of your stay stables not cleaned will be invoiced bookings can be made online www.wpnec.com.au support the vrha and be rewarded the vrha committee has introduced a reward system to members for their help with running shows due to a `caretaker committee being appointed at the 2011 agm the club will be running shows at a minimum until a full permanent committee is secured due to this the club won t be providing a show office at future shows and listed below is the assistance required to keep the shows running the amount of time assisting is up to you but for every hour assisted a $10 voucher will be given to the helper and to be used as a credit on your next show entry for the season the voucher can be passed on to another vrha member so non-riders friends family can also be the helpers and pass the voucher on set up and pack up the arena 2 gate marshals for the duration of the show scribes and tractor drivers catch up with any committee member at a show with your offer of assistance and collect your voucher on the day you help out victorian reining hounds

2012 vrha/gvrha buckle series novice horse open level 2 limited non pro rookie level 2 youth 2 handed beginner rules conditions 1 2 3 4 5 series to be run in victoria over four 4 shows two 2 vrha shows two 2 gvrha shows plus one 1 clean slate final series will run january 2012 ­ november 2012 st th th th th show dates vrha 21 january vrha 25 february at werribee gvrha 16 september gvrha 9 ­ 11 november at tatura th finals will be run on 25 november 2012 at werribee park national equestrian centre th th the top 10 finalists from each of the nominated categories as at completion of the gvrha show 9 -11 november 2012 will be eligible to compete in the clean slate final prizes will be awarded to the winners from each category at the finals and st th awarded from 1 to 10 place riders must compete in at least three 3 shows should a rider compete in all four 4 shows offered the rider has the choice of selecting their three 3 best scores from the four 4 shows prior to the finals to be eligible riders must be financial members of both the vrha and gvrha the rider must be a full financial member of both the vrha gvrha throughout the series hoses must be nrha licenced and riders must be nrha members for novice horse open level 2 limited non pro rookie st level 2 and youth categories ra 2011/20122 ineligibility applies as of 1 january 2012 should riders and or horse earnings exceed throughout the series eligibility still applies youth ages calculated as per current nrha handbook youth classes will be offered at four 4 shows by the two 2 youth categories youth 13 years under and youth 14-18 years points for the series will be calculated from each youth class however the series final points will be calculated towards overall youth 18 years under entry fee into each category at each show will attract a $20 entry fee $10 judge s fee and will remain the same throughout the series entry fees collected from each category at each show will be retained and will jackpot vrha will collect and hold the jackpot st th th th th from 21 january and 25 february shows gvrha will collect and hold the jackpot from 15 september and 9 -11 november shows the total amounts collected from all four 4 shows will be calculated together to determine the jackpot amounts for each category the cost of the trophy buckles for each category will be subtracted from the year end jackpot th the remaining balance of the jackpot from each category will be divided into prizes to 10 place th a trophy buckle will be presented to the winner and prizes awarded to 10 place from each category at the conclusion of each class at the clean slate finals in order to be eligible for 2 handed beginner category the rider must not have won more than four 4 reining classes at any st show as at 1 january 2012 the horse does not have to be nrha licenced and rider does not have to have nrha membership horse to be ridden two handed in any nrha approved bit and must remain consistent throughout the pattern or a score of zero 0 will be given rider has the option to ride nrha pattern or the vrha modified pattern 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 points calculation 1 2 points will be calculated on a `one horse-one rider combination a rider can ride more than one 1 horse in a class but a horse cannot be ridden more than once per class st points will be calculated by a sliding scale by the number of horses entered into the class 5 horses entered 1 place 5 nd st points 2 place 4 points etc where this is more than 10 horses entered 1 place receives 10 points 10 points is the nd maximum amount of points given 2 place 9 points etc `one horse-one rider combination will receive 1 point for entering the class including a zero 0 score a `no score is not eligible for points 3.

2012 vrha green rider end of year challenge beginner end of year challenge ­ rules conditions all riders and horse owners must be financial members of the victorian reining horse association at the time of showing to be st eligible for vrha 2012 green rider end of year challenge award beginner end of year challenge award year begins 1 january 2012 as per vrha non sanctioned rules should a rider become ineligible throughout the season the rider is unable to continue competing in that class for the remainder of the season with the exception of the final show where the winner of the green rider end of year challenge award and the beginner end of year challenge award will be challenged for the winner of the vrha green rider class from each vrha show held throughout the season will automatically qualify as a finalist to compete for the green rider end of year award at the final show of the season the winner of the final will be st awarded the title of 2012 vrha green rider challenge champion eligible green rider finalists will be awarded prizes from 1 to th st 4 place at the annual vrha end of year hi point awards presentation 1 place will receive a green rider challenge trophy rug the winner of the vrha beginner class from each vrha show held throughout the season will automatically qualify as a finalist to compete for the beginner end of year award at the final show of the season the winner of the final will be awarded the title st th of 2012 vrha beginner challenge champion eligible beginner finalists will be awarded prizes from 1 to 4 place at the annual st vrha end of year hi point awards presentation 1 place will receive a beginner challenge trophy rug vrha green rider vrha green rider open to any rider that has not won three 3 or more reining classes at any show once you have won 3 classes you are no longer eligible for green rider horse can be ridden one or two handed in any nrha approved bit but must remain consistent throughout the whole pattern or a score of zero 0 will be given vrha modified pattern will be ridden `one horse-one rider combination riders cannot compete more than once in the same class on the same day and one horse cannot be ridden more than once in the same class on the same day horse does not have to be nrha licenced and rider does not have to have nrha membership vrha beginner vrha beginner open to any rider that has not won four 4 or more reining classes at any show once you have won 4 classes you are no longer eligible for beginner horse can be ridden one or two handed in any nrha approved bit but must remain consistent throughout the whole pattern or a score of zero 0 will be given nrha pattern will be ridden `one horse-one rider combination riders cannot compete more than once in the same class on the same day and one horse cannot be ridden more than once in the same class on the same day horse does not have to be nrha licenced and rider does not have to have nrha membership green and getting greener every revolution
