the crash by mary doka january 17 2012 bailey boarded the plane with her friends captain justice the pilot and claire and her daughter anastasia they were going to the north pole for anastasia s second birthday where they would be staying in an ice hotel and going skiing on top of a mountain the plane trip was four hours and on the third hour they saw snowy mountain peaks and forests under the plane suddenly there was a violent shaking and the plane plummeted downwards toward the snowy mountains when bailey awoke she had something on her chest when she looked at what it was it was claire her back punctured with a long metal pole from the crash her eyes wide open bailey dazedly looked around and found that almost everyone was frozen from the icy barber winds and the only reason bailey was not frozen was because she was lying on a cushion from the plane saving her from frostbite and cold cruel winds all she heard was the moaning of the not quite dead or seriously injured people around her bailey closed her eyes and let the coldness and sadness take her over and died.
