our friend pinocchio mastro antonio the carpenter found a piece of wood which was able to speak to cry and to laugh as a child.when geppetto arrives that piece of wood makes a joke a little voice makes fun af them shouting polentina the two old man quarrel but they soon fall to the ground grasping their wigs the fight ends there.antonio makes peace with geppetto he can have that suspicious piece of wood he can make a puppet which is able to jump.when the old man comes back home he makes the puppet with delight and he gives a name to him pinocchio pinocchio is already a naughty puppet when he opens his eyes antonio makes peace with geppetto 6

our friend pinocchio the bare puppet escapes and the poor geppetto because of that undisciplinated son is wrongly arrested.then pinocchio comes back home and looks at the wall the talking cricket tells him you play a lot of tricks don t you?the naughty boy gets angry and throws a hammer at the good cricket now he feels free but he is hungry and cold.then he searches into the rubbish and he finds a nice egg but the desired food ah flies away.he runs towards the village it s late he rings the door bell he doesn t receive any bread he is sprinkled with water the talking cricket tells him 8

our friend pinocchio now pinocchio hungry and cold falls asleep but there is no peace for him he burns his feet on the embers.the good geppetto comes back home he has forgotten every trick by that time and he has already given to his naughty boy the pears that he has brought home.geppetto makes the puppet s feet again and he dresses him very well but he sells his jacket to the antiquary to buy the abbecedario the puppet sells his book to see the little theatre and he meets his friends who are happy to see him again.they acknowledge their brother but the great puppets master suddenly goes out and he is ready to punish pinocchio the puppet sells his book 9

our friend pinocchio pinocchio is lying on his bed there are three doctors who wonder if he is dead or alive.now his little fairy gives him the prescribed medicine but pinocchio only smells it and refuses to drink it.but when he sees the undertakers with a coffin he immediately realizes that he has to drink that purge if he doesn t really want to die.then he is not able to tell the truth to the fairy and as a consequence there is the famous saying if you don t tell the truth your nose will grow longer.then the woodpeckers altogether cuts the wood from that nose now pinocchio wants to go away and to find his father again if you tell truth,your nose will grow 14
