laude the lady elizabeth school an exhibition of students art we are honoured to introduce you to this year s `exhibition of students art under the inspired gaze and tutelage of our head of design technology and teacher of art paul noble the senior pupils following the a-level programme have again created some truly magnificent examples of vibrant artwork mr noble encourages particular paths of the traditional modern and still-life to offer the pupils an opportunity to draw from a range of skills when they create their images the exhibition represents a selection of 48 pictures depicting a variety of themes still-life portraits and landscapes the styles and techniques adopted are from pop art to photorealism each pupil s journey is one of artistic self-discovery as they craft differing themes and topics their ability to adapt and alter traditional themes to demonstrate their own slant on works is most impressive the gallery setting enhances the professionalism that is displayed in the pupils work the influence of an international environment exhibiting a number of world cultures is clearly evident each of the pupils has presented work that is individual and reflects a variety of ideas that are specific to their own interests and represent their creative initiatives i would like to recognise the dedication that has been invested in the paintings exhibited and congratulate those pupils for their superb achievements equally on their behalf i would like to focus on the continued dynamism of paul noble as he continues to motivate those pupils who are fortunate to have met him thank you for taking the time to visit the exhibition and we hope that you thoroughly enjoy what is a display of significant talent with respect and best wishes richard wijeratne by carla mira

laude the lady elizabeth school una exposición de arte de los alumnos nos complace enormemente presentarles la exposición de arte de este año elaborada por nuestros alumnos dejándose guiar por la experiencia y tutela de paul noble nuestro jefe del departamento de diseño y tecnología y profesor de arte los alumnos de bachiller han logrado crear magníficas obras el sr noble anima a los alumnos a seguir el camino moderno y el tradicional consiguiendo así que aprendan a dibujar usando varias formas y técnicas cuando crean sus imágenes la exposición cuenta con una galería de 48 trabajos que representan una variedad de temas bodegones retratos y paisajes los estilos que emplean destacan entre el arte pop y el fotorrealismo los alumnos siguen un proceso de autoconocimiento mientras que se centran en varios ámbitos temáticos adaptándose a ellos a su vez tienen habilidad para alterar sus trabajos haciendo uso de estos ámbitos por lo que sus obras resultan impresionantes me gustaría darle importancia a la dedicación de los alumnos en cuanto a los dibujos que han realizado y darles la enhorabuena por sus estupendos logros aparte quiero hacer hincapié en el dinamismo de paul noble que continua animando a aquellos que tienen la suerte de poder contar con su ayuda ¡gracias por visitar la exposición y esperamos que hayan reconocido el talento de los alumnos saludos cordiales richard wijeratne director de laude lady elizabeth school by le cia ras-anderica el entorno de la galería ayuda a aumentar el profesionalismo que se muestra en el trabajo de los alumnos el hecho de que haya una influencia de un ambiente internacional en el que están los alumnos ha ayudado bastante todos han realizado los trabajos de forma individual y estos reflejan una cantidad de ideas que se corresponden con sus intereses personales y a la vez representan su iniciativa creativa.

during a-level art alicia studied the themes of pop art and still-life with alicia s passion for acting it is no wonder that she focused her pop art pieces on marilyn monroe a licia fernández is currently studying performing arts at the real escuela superior de arte in madrid she is an extremely talented artist and also an excellent actress and has decided to pursue a career on stage licia fernández estudia artes escénicas en la real escuela superior de arte de madrid es una artista de mucho talento que ha decidido seguir la carrera de actriz durante sus estudios de arte de a level alicia trabajó con los temas de pop art y bodegones debido a su gran pasión por la interpretación no es de extrañar que su trabajo de pop art mostrará dibujos de marilyn monroe a

s ophie jackson sings beautifully teaches dancing and the calibre of her art work is evident in her paintings during a-level art she studied the themes of portraits and still-life and she is now at the university of sussex completing a course in english and film studies s ophie jackson canta de maravilla da clases de danza y el calibre de sus trabajos de arte se evidencia con sus pinturas durante su curso de arte en a level estudió los temas de retratos y bodegones actualmente estudia inglés y cinematografía en la universidad de sussex.

p olina katalina is currently completing an interior design course in barcelona during a-level art she studied the themes of portraits and still-life many of her portraits were based on japanese geisha girls and she used different masks from all around the world for her still-life work p olina katalina está estudiando un curso de diseño interior en barcelona durante sus estudios de arte de a level polina trabajó con temas de bodegones y retratos muchos de estos estuvieron basados en geishas japonesas y utilizó diferentes máscaras de todo el mundo para sus bodegones.

she continued with her study of art at the royal london college of art in wimbledon which she has now completed c laira le marchand studied the themes of still-life and still-life cubism during her a-level at the lady elizabeth school and was rewarded with an a for her talents c laira le marchand estudió los temas de cubismo y bodegones durante sus estudios de arte de a level en el colegio laude the lady elizabeth school obteniendo una a por sus esfuerzos claira ha continuado con sus estudios en el royal london college of art de wimbledon donde ha cursado la carrera de bellas artes.

c arla mira completed her a-level in 2011 she is an extremely talented artist very deserving of the a she gained in a-level art her latest painting pictured right has been used in all of the literature and advertising related to this year s laude the lady elizabeth school art exhibition after completing her secondary school studies carla spent time in zurich where she is wanting to study architecture she has now returned to the lady elizabeth school to `fine tune her german in order to return to switzerland to continue with architecture arla mira hizo el bachiller en el año 2011 es una artista con mucho talento que obtuvo muy merecidamente una a como nota final su última obra a la derecha ha sido utilizada en todos los folletos y encuadernaciones de la exposición de arte presentada este año por laude the lady elizabeth school tras completar sus estudios de secundaria carla pasó un tiempo en zurich ciudad en donde desea estudiar arquitectura este año carla ha vuelto al colegio para mejorar su alemán y así poder volver a suiza para continuar sus estudios c

l eticia ras-anderica is not only a talented artist but also an excellent golfer she is currently studying art at the university of miami florida on a golf scholarship during her final year at the lady elizabeth school leticia gained an a for as-level art studying the themes of still-life and tribal people she is now enjoying the opportunity to pursue both of her dreams a degree in fine arts and a profession in golf eticia ras-anderica no sólo es una artista de mucho talento sino que también es una excelente jugadora de golf actualmente está estudiando arte en la universidad de miami florida con una beca de golf durante su último año en el colegio laude the lady elizabeth school leticia obtuvo una a en la asignatura de arte de as level creando temas aztecas y bodegones leticia está saboreando la oportunidad de seguir sus dos sueños un título de bellas artes y la carrera de golf l
