dear friends these are incredible and powerful words i found this to be so while preaching from this text in my red-letter kjb jesus tells us to go and teach all nations in matthew chapter 28 verses 19 and 20 he includes this command teaching them to observe all things whatsoever i have commanded you if you have been studying the bible for very long and have engaged and taken note of the teachings of christ in the gospels it will become apparent that christ himself gave us adequate truth to address the complicated issues of our day from the look on a few faces in the congregation while i preached this was apparently so in 2011 we know more about chemistry biology molecular science medicine archaeology even bible prophecy than those of a generation ago it was not until the late 1600 s that the term cell was coined with giant electron microscopes man can now view almost to the atomic level yet ever learning and never coming to the knowledge of the truth there is at critical mass level an urgent need for pastors and preachers to understand the times our lord and saviour has equipped his people with the tools needed to confront cultural change and the complex problems of our society one dear preacher friend said to me i preach the same messages i did 40 years ago however 40 years ago young people as well as parents were not plastering every private detail of their lives on facebook and the internet for the world to view children are seated on the back pew with the latest and greatest high-powered hand held devices texting who knows who and where during the preaching service the internet and ipods did not exist 40 years ago amongst a host of other trends fashions and technologies but remember the command of jesus christ himself teaching them to observe all things whatsoever i have commanded you even though the sermon 40 years ago did not address the complicated issues of 2011 pastors today must take biblical preaching from the pulpit to where people are living in the pew the specific connection and application must be made by the teacher in the pulpit i chronicles 12:32 says these men understood to know what israel ought to do pastors and preachers must through biblical teaching and spiritual continued on page 7 for more resources visit ·3

continued from page 3 discernment address attitudes thoughts events and gizmos that the church may do what it ought to do the liberal politics of our day the perversion of god s institute of marriage and the hostility toward true biblical christianity has fostered an entitlement generation languishing in spiritual darkness sadly churches have fallen in step the blind leading the blind is the pulpit occupied by men motivated with fear or power or their own personal security in the next printed edition of the voice in the wilderness we will deal with some of the prevailing deceptions that have crept in the church the solution however is quite simple 1 repentance of sin and the acceptance of christ as lord and saviour 2 submission and surrender to the authority of god s word 3 obviously the willingness to obey all that christ has commanded us to do god is not the author of confusion yet in less than a generation preachers that i know personally have moved dramatically associations they once adamantly rejected they now willingly embrace the doctrine of separation they preached and taught is now glaringly avoided in their ministry music and dress of the world is now the standard in the choir and church ministries the voice in the wilderness continues to stand in the gap and sound the clear clarion call of god s word we have not moved from the book the blood and the blessed hope what about you i would like to say to our readers we need you to stand with us in prayer and support of the voice in the wilderness not only here in the states but in countries like venezuela the philippines india and many other countries preachers are facing intense opposition these are dedicated godly pastors worthy of your support presently there are several projects that need financing please pray with us that the lord will burden hearts and through his people provide for these urgent needs thank you again for your faithfulness over the months and years you have been a great encouragement may god richly bless you and your family as you serve him for christ and souls ronnie l williamson isa 40:31 happy trails for more resources visit ·7
