pink panther fall review eastern illinois university dance team december 2011 hutcherson a goldstar academy yorkville il instructor the roudecember 10th marked the last team performed their uda nationals tine was a huge hit with the audience performance for team at the wom hip-hop routine to a nabbytabs mix president perry and his wife really enen s basketball game where the choreographed by austria joyed it and offered their support for the team thanks girls for a great fall season pink panthers complete fall season community service projects before the fall semester began during pmb preseason the team participated in several community service projects for the first service activity the team walked dogs held puppies and played with cats at the animal shelter the following day the team performed and visited with residents at brookstone independent living and hill top nursing home facilities as a team we performed for the legacy luncheon helped with the pmb band festival walked for take back the night performed at the red event for aids/hiv awareness and donated for the food pantry and for purchasing coats for those in need please thank your daughter for making a difference dr martin luther king said everyone has the power of greatness not for fame but greatness because greatness is determined by service

time at camp it s hard to believe that the year started back on april 9th when the new 9 member team was announced two camps were held at eiu and were filled with sidelines traditions technique team building activities with rotc and dr kevin hussey conditioning with form pink panther nikki isaacs a car wash meals learning timeouts and learning our uda nationals hip-hop and jazz routines our last camp was the uda collegiate spirit camp held at the university of wisconsin in milwaukee four full days of learning uda camp routines kept everyone more than busy we earned a superior trophy for all of our blue ribbons awarded to team members for our performance of the learned camp routines which is a great honor we also earned a superior ribbon and trophy for eiu fight song congratulations team for being your best new members join the team during fall auditions the team welcomed two team members to the team gina geraci and alexis teichmiller gina is a returning veteran who brings skill creative choreography and knowledge to our team and is great to work with new to the team is alexis who prefers to be called lexy she offers talent and creativity along with her energy and enthusiasm to quickly learn sidelines traditions and show performances the new members have also gotten to know their teammates who have been really great at helping the team come together welcome thanks for deciding to be part of a 40 year eiu tradition page 2 gina geraci lexy teichmiller

eiu football the football season weather cooperated more so this year which was a huge blessing with only one cold and wet game our team performed jazz pom and kick routines that were choreographed by all members of the team they did a wonderful job working with the music provided to us by the band and not always did they have the luxury of time to work on choreography for our routines the year started off with a week long preseason camp as being a part of the pmb the girls were great and brought the energy for the evening and early morning rehearsals with the band the alumni pinks joined us for homecoming 2011 greatness in blue by walking in the parade and performing at halftime we are always glad to have our alumni return to games and keep connected with the team and the love of dancing november 5th would mark coach spoo s last home game in 25 years the last game for our three seniors gina geraci kristen pierce and cassie short and the poms with pinks clinic the team taught young girls ages 4-12 pom routines to perform during the half time show the young pinks would also spirit with the team during the first and third quarters of the game everyone had a great time the football team had a tough year and look forward to rebuilding their solid and strong tradition during the 2012 season with the new head coach babers from baylor university thank you parents family members and friends for coming to the games to support the pinks and the panthers pink panther fall review page 3

pmb band festival this year the team was asked to help with and perform for pmb festival the girls helped with digital recordings and selling merchandise worked entrance gates and assisted judges it was a full day with great weather the team did a great job when we took the field around 7pm to perform our show it was a good performance and several area school community and campus members who don t make it to games were very complimentary about the team pmb the experience at the event thanks girls for being your best the team holiday banquet was a held thursday december 8th the student catering class prepared and served a wonderful meal our guest list kept changing due to the hectic time of year we welcomed alan sullivan interim director for panther marching band to dine with us once the meal was finished and we thanked our guest for joining us and we took care of some team business as a team we donated money to an area agency to buy winter coats for those in need this was in lieu of doing a gift exchange i had gifts for the girls and they surprised me with a starbucks gift card and mug that was decorated and signed by the them gina love the snow scene and snowman and snowflakes the mug is great-i love it i also love my pinks container for batteries/hair ties thanks girls you re great thanks for a fun and relaxing evening enjoying a good meal and friendship fall 2011 academic success big congratulations go to the following team members for their terrific work in their studies this fall as reflected in their semester gpa kristen pierce sr 3.82 samantha beumel so 3.75 margaret doyle fr 3.79 alexis teichmiller fr 3.79 morgan eldridgefr 3.77 ashlee hare so 3.40 and kaylee hare fr 3.38 our collective team gpa for the semester was 3.02 fantastic work ladies and very proud of your academic accomplishments page 4
