page 2 the cadet the thanksgiving dinner is a tradition here at the gopher battalion started by our former battalion commander taylor smith we plan to carry on this tradition in the battalion for many years to come.

page 3 volume 1 issue 1 the thanksgiving dinner was a big hit a lot of cadets showed up along with their parents we started out the night with everyone saying the pledges followed by the cadets reciting the cadet creed then that was followed with the dinner that everyone prepared.

on our last school day of the year 2011 right before the christmas break we got a wonderful visit from the battalions old friend santa clause he brought joy on this day as we said our goodbyes until on next time together on january 3rd.
