a warm welcome to dixon kete kadin s brother who has joined room 2 we would like to extend an open invitation to all parent helpers caregivers and friends of the school who have supported or assisted our school during 2011 to join us at our special morning tea on thursday 15th december at 10:30am please come along so we can thank you for your support during the year to help us with catering please reply to the office thank you invitation to morning tea bring your library red cross first aid over the last few weeks students from rooms 4 5 6 and 7 have participated in a basic first aid course courtesy of the red cross thank you to maria for coming to ohaupo school to enable our students to learn these very important life skills here are some comments by 2 of the students and the general feeling by most from room 7 students i think the first aid lady was very helpful with my learning by teaching me the recovery position she also taught us the doctors abc s drsabc which will remind me of my order of thinking in an emergency connor farrelly yr7 i feel better now because i know most of the first aid that i need to know i learnt the drsabc and how to put people in the recovery position after an accident if the person is unconscious if something happens on the farm now i will know what to do scott thomas yr8 books back to school all library books and readers must be returned to school urgently pta news end of year disco .black white theme friday 16th december please bring a plate and a gold coin donation 6-30pm 8.30pm9pm year 7&8 funds raised from this disco will be donated to ohaupo plunket as they lend us cups and platters for speech nights throughout the year scrap metal drive february 2012 a great holiday occupation to keep the children busy proceeds will benefit our school it is time to empty out your sheds and start collecting all those aluminium and stainless steel cans pots and pans old bicycles white ware fridges freezers ovens and washing machines car/tractor batteries old fencing wire old gates brass broken swing sets stainless steel old bbq s lead corrugated iron pipes aluminium old hot water cylinders cast iron baths brass taps gas bottles car parts old car bodies electric motors old lawn mowers tin cans room 1 5 sleepover camp at ohaupo school last friday rooms 1 and 5 had an awesome sleep-over camp at school everyone brought their tents and cooked marshmallows over the camp fire played games like cutting chocolate with a knife and fork burma trail and spotlight thank you to all the parents caregivers and teachers because we couldn t have done it without you drop off point and date to be advised in the new year anything metal finally thank you very much to everyone who has been involved in our fundraisers and activities throughout the year and we wish you and your families a very merry christmas and happy new year ohaupo terms 2012 1 2 3 4 start date tuesday 7 february monday 23 april monday 16 july monday 15 october finish date thursday 5 april friday 29 june friday 28 september tuesday 20 dec
