what s in the newsletter this week health survey i move lost property activity accounts r7 giant mania rep touch rugby secondhand uniforms talent quest parkland hub pta discos swimming 2012 school library stars of the week dear parents firstly thankyou to everyone who returned their `health survey forms your responses will be used by the school to modify our health curriculum so that it best meets the needs of our students and parents at this time there was also overwhelming support for the school to consider further the changes at puberty topic at the senior level we will start work on this next year 85 said `yes to this question at present there seem to be a growing number of children wearing coloured footwear we have tried not to be too strict with this area of the uniform but if parents do not support this approach it will mean that we will need to toughen up a reminder that footwear must be plain black flat soled shoes sneakers slipons with enclosed heels boots or sandals socks are plain black jandals are not permitted we have at least a dozen pairs of black shoes sneakers sandals in lost property none of which are named several of the pairs are brand new check it out they could belong to you

parkland stars of the week jessica c taylor s brittany t shania b james a katja f hannah n erin f i-move is coming next week time to get back to walking to school i-move will operate for the next two weeks sports ambassadors will be at the school gates to stamp cards mrs young tells me she has lots of spot prizes to give away as well lets hope the weather is kind for those two weeks payment of activity accounts thanks to those who have settled their accounts final payment is due on friday 2 december swimming was able to be charged at $30 this year thanks to the pta subsidising the transport this worked out at $3 per lesson which is value for money in addition parents are able to take advantage of the 10 discount swim magic offer in this newsletter for reduced costs of private swimming lessons next year activities include visiting performers class visits outside the school and other activities such as the life education classroom.

manawatu rep touch rugby congratulations to braxton r 11 and james r 5 who have been selected for the manawatu touch rugby team talent quest well done to everyone who entered the `talent quest recently these were our five finalists parkland pta last disco for the year tonight juniors 6-6.45pm seniors 7-8pm $2 at the door children must be collected by an adult from inside the hall at the end of their disco the discos are supervised by teachers and pta parents please leave your child at the door sausage sizzle and fizzy drinks $1 each these will be ready for sale from 5.30pm come down early or straight from hockey and grab an easy tea and catch up with other parkland families you can join other parents in room 14 during the disco for a cuppa while you wait exciting new glo products choose from star hand and guitar glo necklaces $2 each glo glasses $2 glo bracelets two for $1
