Thornton won Gold in best town category Wyre has managed a spectacular haul of awards this year in both the regional and neighbourhood entries. Plus three parks in Wyre are celebrating an unprecedented coup in collecting four Gold Awards in the RHS Parks section for Kepple Pilling won Silver medal in large village category Inskip won Silver Gilt medal in best village category St Michael’s won Gold in best village category Lane and the Millennium Green in Garstang Chipping won Gold in best village category along with Hawthrone Park which won Gold in the parks award. Fold House Park won Gold in best caravan park category In the general Regional Awards Wyre collected: Millennium Green Park won RHS Gold medal Kepple Lane and Millennium Green Park won RHS park awards Gerry Dagger of Catterall won best private garden Fleetwood in Bloom won the INTU Trafford Centre Community trophy All these results reflect the fabulous efforts of both the volunteers and the Wyre parks staff who work together trying to improve all the areas where they live and work.
