Dear Friends: JESUS is the sweetest name I know! This is The Voice in the Wilderness’ theme for 2018. Acts 4:12 says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Speak the name of JESUS today. Give a gospel tract, share your testimony and let just one more precious soul hear the sweetest name they could ever hear, the name JESUS. Be saved in HIS name, pray in HIS name, live in HIS name, preach in HIS name, do all in the name of JESUS! This past Sunday we received report from a dear pastor friend serving in a very difficult country that 17 precious souls trusted JESUS for salvation. There is no other name whereby we must be saved. Do you understand this? In 1636 the first Harvard University Student Handbook stated, “Let every student be plainly instructed and earnestly pressed to consider well, the main end of his life and studies is, to know God and JESUS Christ, which is eternal life, John 17:3; and therefore to lay JESUS Christ as the only foundation of all sound knowledge and learning.” Pray for our podcast JESUS is the sweetest name I know! “Tweetypie and PopPop - Do you have more wis- For Christ and souls, dom than a 6 year old?” Check out the Web for more info. www.thevoiceinthewilderness.org Ronnie L. For over 65 years, The Voice in the Wilderness has been involved in worldwide missions. I would like you to consider a very critical point for believers today. Read carefully the following text taken from Acts 1:1-8. 1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: 3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: 4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. 6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Now, let’s just quit the hypocrisy. You cannot “do” Acts 1:8 without “believing” Acts 1:3. You either believe the infallible 4•The Voice in the Wilderness - January 2018 Virtual Edition

proofs, or you do not believe. You either believe God’s Word is inspired, or you do not believe God’s Word is inspired. This indeed is a critical point in missions. Sadly, from pulpits across America, we hear men who believe God’s Word has errors. They say the inspired Word only existed in the original autographs. So, Dr. Luke nor the greatest missionary ever, the Apostle Paul, did not have the infallible, inspired record. Now keep in mind, you just read the statement concerning all that Jesus began both to do and teach. Is this the record (the treatise) of Jesus and all He began both to do and teach? Do you believe this? Jesus conquered death, hell, and the grave. The proofs and record is infallible. We have the written record, the genealogical record, and the geographical record. His tomb was empty, and the Romans nor the Jews could produce a corpse. Even the cowardly apostles were willing to die for Jesus after His resurrection. There were over 500 witnesses to the resurrected Jesus. In this publication, we have written about the many fulfilled prophecies concerning Jesus Christ. Churches around the world preach the Risen Christ. And there is continued attempts and attacks by religions, governments, and disbelievers to deny and discredit Christ’s resurrection and the infallible proofs recorded in His Word. Surely, we will not doubt and claim there is error. Again, if we are going to “do” Acts 1:8 we must start by “believing” Acts 1:3. To go from Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and IS GOD’S WORK IN YOUR WILL? “One of the most important documents a man ever signs is his Will. I can tell better what a man had in his heart by reading his Will than I can by reading his obituary. His obituary tells the world what his friends thought of him; his Will reveals what he had in his heart.” - A. M. Vollmer For as (a man) thinketh in his heart, so is he- Proverbs 23:7. Out of (the heart) are the issues of life - Proverbs 4:23. unto the uttermost part of the earth, will require great faith in HIM. • This mission requires a profitable faith—Faith without works is dead. It’s not a works salvation, but a salvation that works. A profitable faith will produce results. • This mission requires a proven faith—As believers, let alone as American believers, we have a history and heritage of the proven. God has indeed blessed us. Over and over again, HE has proven HIS great faithfulness. • This mission requires a perfecting faith—In this age of confusion, we need discernment, wisdom, and maturity. Are we the world’s youngins? No we “ain’t” the world’s youngins. I am a child of the King. We must not grabble in the world, but live like HIS child. Seneca was a contemporary of the Apostle Paul and a Roman Statesman, as well as, a Stoic Philosopher. Yet he wrote: “…a monstrous contest of abandoned wickedness is carried on. The lust of sin increases daily; and shame is daily more and more extinguished. Discarding respect for all that is good and sacred, lust rushes on wherever it will. Vice no longer hides itself. It stalks forth before all eyes. So public has abandoned wickedness become, and so openly does it flame up in the minds of all, that innocence is no longer seldom, but has wholly ceased to exist.” I asked a national pastor what they needed. Of course, I thought his reply would be money for some project--but quite the contrary. He said, “We need American churches to stay strong.” Do we have a form of godliness denying the power thereof ? Acts 1:8 says, “Ye shall receive power.” HIS power flows through HIS perfecting faith. This mission requires the powerful perfecting faith in Jesus Christ to reach from Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 6•The Voice in the Wilderness - January 2018 Virtual Edition

• Men and women who have changed this world for God’s glory are men and women this world could not change. • I asked a national pastor what they needed—he replied, “We need American churches to stay strong.” • The Mission can only succeed in a Revived church—Revived for the glory of God.
