Sadly, this is third family we have lost to Australia in the past couple of years. Replacing Mrs Steenkamp is Mr Slatter and a warm welcome to him as he has joined us in November. Honours Blazer Awards It has been a privilege to witness the rise of our learners over the years. Each one is unique and a special part of the Bryanston family in some way. Congratulations to the following Grade 11 learners who have shown passion and dedication on the highest level as active members of Bryanston High, and for this have been awarded their (first) white Honours Blazers… Chris Denton for achieving 4 full colours in the following areas: hockey, tennis, squash and councillorship Kimberlin van Duyn who achieved 4 full colours for swimming, netball, open water swimming and councillorship John Tyson for achieving 4 full colours in the fields of hockey, drama, tennis and sound & lighting.

Hall of Fame Koketso Rammutla in Gr ade 9 has been awar ded the number 2 spot as the South Afr ican Champion for Judo in Group 4 (15-17 years) at the SA Sports Awards. Koketso has also been ranked number 1 provincially as well as nationally for Judo in groups. Rogan and Megan Shepherd represented the Gauteng Schools Team at the OR Tambo Soncini Social Cohesion Games held in Germiston recently. Rogan received a Silver Medal for Boys 200m Butterfly while Megan received a Gold Medal for Girls 200m Individual Medley and 2 Silver Medals for Girls 100m Backstroke and 100m Freestyle. Congratulations to Mrs van Jaarsveldt for being a part of the SA Women’s Hockey Team who have been crowned Africa’s champions in the recent Africa Cup of Nations Tournament.
