My Saviour’s will, God’s charge to keep now hear His voice, all ye sheep, To tell His story of things above of Jesus’ Glory, of Jesus’ love. Arise and wake from slumber and sleep a time to sow, a time to weep. O ‘tis thy servant, Dear Lord prepare fit for battle thy armour to wear. Should it be I have cause to fear or again this world seems too dear. Take me back where mine eyes can see thy raptuous Glory, from sin set free. And then renew that vision of love with affections set on the things above. So those wandering ones that You seek his ears may hear Thy voice so sweet. ‘Tho skin and language be not mine O that soul, to Thee be Thine. Then together from far away lands voices join the blood washed band. The love of God no tongue can tell releases chains and powers of hell. Dear Friends: “The Laodiceans had failed to consult Heaven’s oculist about their own dimmed spiritual eyesight.... In its day of spiritual awareness, the church had been able to see the wrong in all things detrimental. Now in her lukewarm state, things had changed. They could still see the wrong of big sins...however, the lesser sins, especially those which pleased and pampered the carnal, these had suddenly turned from black to a strange gray. They seem to have forgotten that first convictions are always safest, that established principles never change, that what was once right will always be right and vice versa.” This is commentary from Dr. J Royce Thomason’s verse-by-verse study of The Book of Revelation. We need your prayers as we finish final proofing for the reprint of this critical study. As so many in the church today seemingly fall for the tricks of the devil, the urgency for such material is apparent. For The Voice in the Wilderness, this is a huge project and we ask for your prayers. Along with the printing of The Revelation Study, we are proceeding with the Puinave and Guahibo John and Romans for the jungle. (Thanks to all that assisted with the Piapoco and Curipaco Scriptures.) Also final details are coming together for shipping Spanish Scriptures to Colombia and Venezuela. Please keep all these efforts in your prayers. You are and have always been a vital partner in the support of these projects. God Bless and please keep praying. For Christ and souls, Ronnie L. ThBeehind-the-Scenes Details -From the perspective of Bro. Steve Lilly Exciting things have happened this year at The Voice in the Wilderness and we are so thankful to have partnered with you in serving our Saviour. We trust our emails, printed resources, monthly prayer letters and other communications with you have been a source for praise as you have been informed of what God is doing. In August, Bro. Ronnie and I were given the opportunity to visit the jungles of Colombia and present the Gospel of John and Romans to the Curipaco and Piapoco Indians in their own language. This project has an amazing history, and I wanted to share more specifics with you. As you may recall, our founder Bro. Royce met Sophie Muller working in the jungles of Colombia and Venezuela many years ago and began to support her ministry. One of the aspects of Sis. Sophie’s ministry was translating the Bible into the Piapoco, Puinave, Guahibo, and Curipaco languages. Before her home going in 1996, she had translated the New Testament into these four languages. In 1999, Bro. Ronnie had the privileged to distribute Bibles printed by The Voice to 1500 Indians who came walking through the jungles and canoeing down the Orinoco to receive God’s Word. Sadly, with the regime of Hugo Chavez and the violence in Colombia, we soon believed that the jungle ministry was closed to our American efforts. However, where doors seem to close, God can open a window. Even in the midst of oppression, city evangelism has continued in Venezuela and we have been blessed to work with many of these pastors. Praise the Lord! It was about three years ago that the door to the jungle, unbeknowing to us, was about to open again. While in a Colombian city, Indians from the jungle met an American missionary. They showed the missionary their Bible (which happened to be the Sophie translations that The Voice in the Wilderness had printed in 1999) and asked where they could obtain more for their people. The missionary noticed The Voice in the Wilderness information in the Bible and shared the situation with his pastor in Florida 4•The Voice in the Wilderness - September 2017 Virtual Edition

who then located and contacted Bro. Ronnie. The Voice in the Wilderness had copies of these Bible translations in archive. The pastor and his church printed approximately 500 copies of the New Testament to meet an immediate need and took them to the jungles. With this new contact on the Colombian side of the jungle, The Voice in the Wilderness with the help of Bearing Precious Seed in Milford, OH, was able to print, assemble, ship, and distribute 10,000 Scriptures to the Curipaco and Piapoco Indians in August. Praise the Lord! Now we are preparing for the next phase of this project – printing of the Guahibo and Puinave Scriptures. A pastor in South Carolina has already agreed to aid with the assembly of the Scriptures in these languages. The first phase of this project was easily a $10,000 investment for The Voice in the Wilderness. These other languages will also be a considerable yet eternally valuable investment as we seek to place God’s Word back into the jungles along the Colombian and Venezuelan border. We also have reestablished fellowship with a Venezuelan pastor friend who is now pastoring in Colombia and is able to receive large container shipments of Scriptures. His soulwinners are ready and anxious to begin distribution of Spanish Scriptures as we are able to send them. Through this Colombian effort, we are also able to send material across the border to the Venezuelan ministries who are becoming even more desperate and closed with the oppressive political system, lack of paper/printing supplies, and the new travel ban against Venezuela issued by the Trump Administration. We desire to ACT NOW while these new opportunities are available! Please take a moment to visit our website and view the pictures and DVD update from our Colombia trip. You will see the results of your investment with our mission. Your partnership in this continuing story is greatly appreciated!

ALERT! iPnriPnrtoinggress Is there any question? Churches and Pastors I have known for decades look the other way and some embrace sin they once preached about. What is happening?  From Dr. J. Royce Thomason hear these words of warning : The last days are to be characterized by a great departure, a falling away, from the truth. Laodicea is the church of the “falling away” time. It is guilty, to use an old term, of ‘‘fence straddling.” That is, they have one foot on the world’s side and one on God’s side. They seek to hold to God with one hand and the world with the other. They want God, but they want their sins too. God calls on them to get off the fence. “I would thou wert cold or hot,” He declares. “Either take off your badge of Christianity and get on the world’s side fully (cold) or else put off your love for other gods and get on God’s side, lock, stock and barrel, and be hot!” Anything short of that would cause Him to spue them out of His mouth. It is Christ or Satan; there can be no middle ground. Five-Volume Study Set Coming Soon!

Now What? The Lord clearly orchestrated each event of the mission to Colombia. Not only did the trip accomplish the printing, assembly, shipping and distribution of 10,000 Scriptures in two Indian languages to the jungles of Colombia, but the Lord opened doors of opportunity to continue Bible distribution throughout the river villages and in the city regions of Colombia. A dear pastor friend, whom we have known from years of ministry in Venezuela is now positioned to receive thousands of Scriptures in the Spanish language and to distribute them across Colombia. Bearing Precious Seed, who printed the 10,000 Jungle Bibles is also anxious to mail a completed and waiting pallet to this pastor. So what are we waiting for? Shipping expenses can be significant. The Voice in the Wilderness has just invested $10,000 into the Jungle Bible Project. Now, to mail a pallet of Bibles to Colombia, we need $3,750 or $3 per box of Scriptures. Soulwinners are waiting, BPS in Ohio is waiting, and The Voice in the Wilder- ness is praying and going forward as you consider this partnership in “Going with the Gospel.” Will you send a box of Scriptures? IS GOD’S WORK IN YOUR WILL? “One of the most important documents a man ever signs is his Will. I can tell better what a man had in his heart by reading his Will than I can by reading his obituary. His obituary tells the world what his friends thought of him; his Will reveals what he had in his heart.” - A. M. Vollmer For as (a man) thinketh in his heart, so is he- Proverbs 23:7. Out of (the heart) are the issues of life - Proverbs 4:23. A bequest in your Will to The Voice in the Wilderness, Inc. can assure that the outreach of this ministry at home and abroad will continue after you have gone to your eternal reward. Prayerfully consider us in your Estate Planning. Thank you! For more resources, visit www.thevoiceinthewilderness.org •7
