PERU LIMA & CUSCO—CLASSICAL PERU 6 days / 5 nights LCCPPP18 DAY 1 LIMA—Arrival in Lima, meet & greet transfer to hotel and overnight. DAY 2 LIMA—Tour Lima. Begin with the historical centre of Lima: Government Palace, The Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace and the Municipal Palace. Visit the Church of San Francisco and Monastery, the largest monumental complex of Colonial Art in the Américas. You will notice the stone facades and wooden balconies of the Colonial houses. Passing by “Huaca Pucllana”; a Preinka building, most likely used as an important ceremonial and administrative center belonging to the Lima Culture. Visit the modern suburbs of San Isidro, and Miraflores. Miraflores with its Central Park and Larcomar Shopping Center overlooks the Pacific Ocean. DAY 3 LIMA/CUSCO—After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco, meet & greet transfer to hotel. At the scheduled time, guided city tour: visit the Cathedral, known for its architecture and collection of canvases from the “Escuela Cusqueña” (Academy of Cusco); the Temple of the Sun or “Koricancha”, foundation for Santo Domingo Monastery, the classical example of Inca and western cultures and the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Q'enqo, and Tambomacha. Return to hotel. DAY 4 CUSCO / MACHU PICHU / CUSCO— Full day excursion to visit Machu Pichu. The citadel is located 113 Km (70 miles northwest of Cusco.) The tour starts with an early transfer to the railway station for the morning train ride to Aguas Calientes that takes about three-and-a-half hours. Continue with bus ride up to the archaeological site for a guided tour. After the visit, return to the village of Aguas Calientes for lunch. Return to Cusco, transfer to hotel. DAY 5 CUSCO/LIMA—After an early breakfast, transfer from hotel to the airport for flight to Lima. Arrival in Lima, meet & greet transfer to hotel. The afternoon is free for personal activities. Return to hotel. DAY 3 AREQUIPA/COLCA—Excursion through district of Yura; pass by Mount Chachani and the National Reserve of Pampa Cañahuas. Continue through Vizcachani and Pampas of Toccra. Continue to the Chucura crater, Patapampa Pass and the Andes Lookout. Lunch at Chivay. Check-in at hotel and afternoon visit to La Calera Hot Springs. Dinner with a folkloric show. DAY 4 COLCA/PUNO—Excursion to Cruz del Cóndor. Return to Chivay for lunch; tour the villages of Pinchillo, Maca, Achoma, Yanque and views of Antahuilque and Choquetico. View the Chullpas; precolumbian funeral towers. Return to hotel. DAY 6 PUNO/CUSCO—Trip to Cusco by regular bus. Visit the Andahuaylillas' Chapel and archaeological sites, such as: Racchi's temple, La Raya and Pukara. Buffet lunch in Sicuani. Upon arrival, meet & greet transfer to hotel for overnight. DAY 7 CUSCO—Free morning. After lunch (included), tour the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. Return to the hotel in Cusco. DAY 9 CUSCO /MACHU PICHU/CUSCO—Full day excursion to Machu Pichu. Morning transfer to rail station for rail trip to Aguas Caliente. Continue by bus to the archaeological site for a guided tour. Return to Cusco hotel and lunch. DAY 10 CUSCO/PUERTO MALDONADO— Flight to Puerto Maldonado. Arrival, reception and transfer by motor boat to the Amazonian lodge. Lunch is provided after a welcome beverage and check into lodge. Afternoon tour, led by a naturalist guide, visit the “Isla de los Monos” or Monkey Island. The island is located in the heart of the Madre de Dios River. The tour ends after a beautiful sunset. Dinner at the lodge. DAY 11 PUERTO MALDONADO—Guided walking tour through the rainforest, to the Amazon Watch Tower, built at the top of the Shihuahuaco, an immense tree Enjoy a canoe ride around the lake. Return to the lodge and lunch. Afternoon take another canoe trip down the river to visit a local family living in the rainforest. Return to the lodge for dinner. ARGENTINA ARGENTINA—CYCLING TOUR 12 days / 11 nights AZTAA14/17 DAY 1 BUENOS AIRES—Arrival in Buenos Aires. Meet & greet transfer to hotel. Afternoon city bike tour. Visit the cities of Puerto Madero, La Boca, San Telmo & Plaza de Mayo and San Martin Square. Duration of the tour: 3 –4 hours. Rest of the evening free. DAY 2 BUENOS AIRES— At 09:30 meet at San Martin Square, take the train with the bikes to El Tigre (1 hour trip). Visit the town. Then back on the train with next stop at the San Isidro neighborhood and from there bike along a beautiful path to the next train station, board the train to come back to the city, finishing where we started. Duration of the tour: 4 ½ - 5 hours. Rest of the day free. DAY 3 BUENOS AIRES/ USHUAIA— Transfer to domestic airport for flight to Ushuaia. Arrival in Ushuaia, meet & greet transfer to hotel. DAY 9 SALTA/ CAFAYATE—Full day excursion to Cafayate. Departure from Salta to Lerma Valley, an important tobacco manufacturing area. Enter Quebrada del río las Conchas (declared Natural Monument’s by UNESCO) due to the colorful mountains and its formation; we will see the different shapes like: “The Amphitheater, Devil’s Throat, The Monk, The Castles. Arrival at Cafayate, where the famous Torrontes white wine is produced. In Cafayate, San Carlos, Angastaco, Molinos y Cachi, Spanish traditions and customs are still kept, Arrival and accommodation at hotel 3*. DAY 10 CAFAYATE—Free day to enjoy this beautiful town by bike or walking. You can tour the brand new Museum of Wine. DAY 11 CAFAYATE/ BUENOS AIRES— Back to Salta with regular bus. ARGENTINA EXPLORE THE ANDES THROUGH MOON VALLEY 11 days / 10 nights AAMVAA18 DAY 1 BUENOS AIRES—Arrive, meet & greet transfer to 4* hotel. In the afternoon, panoramic view of Buenos Aires: 9 de Julio Avenue, Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada (the Government House), the Cathedral, the Parliament, the traditional suburbs: San Telmo, La Boca, famous because of its colourful houses, Palermo Parks and Recoleta. Evening at leisure. DAY 2 BUENOS AIRES / SALTA— Transfer to domestic airport for flight to Salta. Arrival, meet & greet transfer to downtown 4* hotel. Afternoon, walking downtown city tour in private: adjusting to the needs and interests of the passengers. The main square, the Cathedral, San Francisco Church, the handy crafts market, the Museum MAAM (entrance fees not included). Evening at leisure. DAY 3 SALTA / PURMAMARCA—Tour towards the town of Purmamarca in Jujuy Province. Drive following the rail train of the Train to the Clouds until San Antonio de los Cobres. Visit Salinas Grandes a big Salt Flat, Cuesta del Lipan. Arrive at Purmamarca in the afternoon/evening. Approx. 500 km. Accommodation at hotel 3*. Evening at leisure. DAY 4 PURMAMARCA / SALTA—Tour Purmamarca on your own visiting the 7 colors hill. Pick up to continue tour back to Salta, driving through Quebrada de Humahuaca, (declared World Heritage’s Monument by UNESCO). Visit Tilcara and San Salvador de Jujuy; arrive in the evening in Salta. Approx. 500 km. DAY 5 SALTA / MENDOZA—Transfer to airport for flight to Mendoza. Transfer to 4* hotel. DAY 6 MENDOZA—Half day excursion “Wine Route”. Touring through vineyards you will see how the human effort has transformed the desert into an oasis, through an irrigation system of canals inherited from the Huarpes the native habitants of this region. Nowadays drip irrigation is also used. Both have helped this land become one of the principal wine world producers. We will visit two wineries, where enologists will explain the process of wine making with wine tasting. DAY 7 MENDOZA/ SAN JUAN—Transfer to airport for flight to San Juan. Meet & greet transfer to 3* hotel. In the afternoon brief city tour: Juan Victoria Auditorium, House where Sarmiento – father of the Argentine Education System was born, the Cathedral, different museums and Ullum’s Dam. Rest of the day free. DAY 8 SAN JUAN/ VALLE FERTIL—Full day excursion to Talampaya National Park with movitrack, stopping by Cuesta de Huaco. Accommodation at 3* hotel and dinner. DAY 9 VALLE FERTIL—Full day excursion to Ichigualasto Provincial Park (Moon Valley). DAY 10 VALLE FERTIL / BUENOS AIRES— Return to San Juan airport for flight to Buenos Aires.
