TIPS FROM THE HAMAN FIT TEAM MICHELLE SMITH – DEPARTMENT LEADER Favorite tour: Discover Swedish Lapland Northern Sweden offers so much, the area is not over run with tourists and this allows you to feel the authenticity of Swedish Lapland. Brandon lodge offers a nature retreat with much to do, or to simply relax and breathe in the fresh air. The tour is spiced up with an overnight in the ice hotel 365, a hotel made of ice in the summer, and with the midnight sun – I think this overall experience is unbeatable! SÉVERINE LACROIX – MANAGER FIT Favorite tour: From Fika to Matka What I like about Scandinavia is its capital proximity. You can combine Norway, Sweden and Denmark in less than a week. My favorite tour is a perfect balance between vibrant Stockholm and green Oslo. What is even better than a city break? A sister city break! JANA BOHN – MANAGER FIT Favorite tour: Untouched Scandinavia I do like to go to places off the beaten track and a bit out of the ordinary, which also explains that I am the Haman FIT outpost far North: in Tromsø. My favorite tour this summer, Untouched Scandinavia, will take me a bit further South – to the middle of Sweden and the stunning Lofoten islands. This tour basically combines most types of landscape, you can find in Scandinavia…lush and dense forests, wild mountain plateaus and dramatic peaks rising straight from the sea. And you are even kind to the environment and travel by public transport. Just my kind of tour! Haman Scandinavia AS. a part of Haman Group / www.haman.no / fit@haman.no. Tel / +47 22 94 1379 2

ALLISON EVRARD – SALES & OPERATIONS CONSULTANT Favorite tour: Finnish Summer Dream Fascinated by the Scandinavian light, I take every opportunity to ’live’ the midnight sun in the summer and the magical Aurora Borealis in the winter. As you can guess, the North of Scandinavia is where I would recommend you to go. If like me you enjoy the relaxing sound of nature and only feel rested after enjoying the pure fresh air, then Finnish Summer Dream is made for you. The breath-taking accommodations of that package are simply amazing and have to be seen to be believed. PETER MANGEL – STRATEGIC PROMOTIONS MANAGER Favorite tour: Scandinavian Capitals Summer in Scandinavia means long days, short nights, and often pleasant temperatures on both land and sea. It is the perfect time to visit the Nordic capitals and enjoy the myriad of waterfront attractions, restaurants and cafes these beautiful cities have to offer. As soon as summer gets a firm grip on Scandinavia, you’ll see the locals out and about to enjoy the sun after a long and cold winter, barbecuing in the parks, swimming, and generally just soaking up the rays. Hands down the best time to visit. JESSICA MOERS – SALES & OPERATIONS CONSULTANT Favorite tour: The Real Sweden When I go on holiday I want two things: To be active and experience untouched nature. Our ‘The Real Sweden’ tour combines these two in the most convenient way, which is why it is my all-time favorite tour in summer. You will experience Sweden from a completely different angle and have the opportunities of going on unforgettable nature adventures. And the icing on the cake is that the tour includes a spa package that increases the recreational factor even more. Time to go and experience the real Sweden. MELISSA NEF – STRATEGIG PROMOTIONS CONSULTANT Favorite tour: UNESCO Treasure Hunt I have always been fascinated by history and love to be out in nature. This is why I would recommend our tour UNESCO Treasure Hunt, which takes you to places in Norway that have made it on the UNESCO Foundation’s list of World Heritage or Natural Sites. These places hold a special place in the Norwegian people’s hearts and will certainly find their way into yours as well. Haman Scandinavia AS. a part of Haman Group / www.haman.no / fit@haman.no. CYCLE HARDANGER 6 NIGHTS / 7 DAYS ACTIVE TOUR Hardanger fjord route is a small piece of Norway offering spectacular views of fjords and mountains. Hardanger is well known for fruit blossoms as well as the fruits – berries, apples, plums and cherries. This area is also the largest supplier of fruits in Norway. Your cycling route takes you in areas with beautiful fruit farms. Early summer is the great fruit blooming season and in the late summer and fall the fruit can be bought along the road. The tour goes on picturesque roads with little traffic / partially roads with a little more traffic, up and down hills and along fjords. Ferry crossings offer breathing pauses where one can enjoy the view from the fjord. You end up in the small village Rosendal and we recommend a visit to Barony Rosendal before The Hardangerfjord Express takes you back to Bergen - an experience in itself. DAY 1: ARRIVAL DAY – VOSS It is worth spending some time in Voss…a town known for its opportunity to offer extreme sports, however you need not be extreme to spend time in Voss. Today, you can simply relax before your tour by bike will start tomorrow. Dinner and overnight in Voss. DAY 3: CYCLE TO UTNE Breakfast at the hotel. From Ulvik you cycle along Ulvikapollen and Eidforden, which are arms of the Hardangerfjord and onto Bruravik. In August 2013 the Hardanger Bridge opened – this is a perfect way for cyclists to cross the Hardangerfjord. Your route continues to Kinsarvik, an easy and picturesque route. Please note that on this route some traffic should be expected. Accommodation and dinner at Utne Hotel - located right by the ferry docks and one of Norway’s oldest hotels in continuous operation since its opening in 1722. *Recommended an evening bike ride on the west side of Sørfjorden and back. DAY 2: CYCLE TO ULVIK Breakfast at the hotel and today your route is a gentle climb up to Skjervet where you can ride the old road down Skjervet past Skjervefossen waterfall and down to the upper Granvin. From here you cycle the old road up to and on through the great Espelandsdalen and down to the open and beautiful fruit village of Ulvik. In Ulvik you have the opportunity to visit fruit farms along the Fruit & Cider Route. Accommodation and dinner at Brakanes Hotel located in Ulvik. DAY 4: CYCLE TO NORHEIMSUND Breakfast at the hotel. In Utne it is possible to add a visit to the Hardanger Folk Museum. From Utne to Herand you cycle through fruit farms on picturesque roads with little traffic. In season, the fruit can be bought along the way. On top of the mountain Samlen take a detour of 3km to Hardanger Art Gallery with exhibitions and events. In Herand there is a nice beach for a refreshing dip. From Herand it is possible to ride all the way to Jondal, ferry over to Tørrvikbygd and from there to Norheimsund (12 km). It is also possible to take a boat from Herandsholmen to Norheimsund. Dinner and overnight in Norheimsund. Haman Scandinavia AS. a part of Haman Group / www.haman.no / fit@haman.no.
