Introducing the Lancing Equestrian Team Jan Tupper - Director With many years in the equestrian industry as an instructor, yard manager and centre proprietor, Jan was seen by the college as the ideal candidate to start up, develop and run the Centre. Jan runs the Centre as an independent business; her experience, professionalism and passion are evident the moment that you arrive. Horse, staff and client welfare are paramount, and Jan’s strong commitment to developing and training of both horses and people ensure that you have a safe, enjoyable, progressive visit. Natalie Crouch - Instructor & Yard Manager Natalie has her BHSAI, UKCC Level 2, and is currently training for BHS Stage 4. Having previously worked for Jan at Arniss Equestrian for over 5 years, Natalie has a broad knowledge in all aspects of horse and client care. Whether you are starting out with your lessons, looking to improve as a rider, or need help with your own horse, Natalie will help you achieve your goals. Nicholas Walraven - Groom Nick started working for Jan several years ago having previously worked in a large holiday activity centre. He makes the stable management training sessions both fun and informative. Nick works at Lancing Equestrian as a groom and will be taking his BHS Stage 2 exam later this year. News from the yard Natalie Crouch It is a pleasure to work in such a beautiful location within the grounds of the College. The yard has great facilities to offer not just the horses but anyone wishing to visit Lancing Equestrian. during their riding sessions and continuing their development in all areas of equestrianism. The uptake that we have had for our lesson courses and stable management has been brilliant. We have had students of all ages across the year groups and of all different ability levels. All of the pupils have been great to teach and all very enthusiastic about what we can offer them. Across the eight weeks all of the students have shown an improvement in their riding and have gained knowledge on how to handle and behave around horses, along with essentials such as tacking up and untacking before and after their lessons. This is a great way for them to interact with the horses as well as riding. Artie Barney Bud We are looking forward to what the Summer Term will bring us, as we have dressage, show jumping, gymkhana shows planned and much more. I look forward to continuing to work with the pupils of Lancing College 2 Cookie Diesel Nel
