abate of florida inc gator alley chapter publication deadline the deadline for all submissions is at the chapter meeting or if submitting by e-mail no later than the 6:00pm the tuesday following the meeting all members are asked to submit anything they have that would be of interest to their fellow members such as articles gator alley chapter meeting july 25th 2010 vfw · 11am gator alley board of directors meeting july 15th 2010 vfw · 7:00pm goals purpose to fight for the freedom of the road and the freedom of choice for the motorcycle riders of florida to become a powerful and viable political force in florida by encouraging riders to register to vote and to communicate with their legislators to promote safe riding habits and to promote driver awareness without infringing on the rights of the individual to work toward educating our legislators on motorcycle issues so they are able to make the right decisions regarding florida s motorcycle riders to publish a newsletter to keep members of abate of florida inc informed the views expressed in this newsletter are not necessarily those of abate of florida inc nor those of gator alley chapter this publication allows members the freedom of expression of their own beliefs and opinions abate of florida inc and gator alley chapter accepts no responsibility for the comments or opinions contained in this publication disclaimer identification statement this publication is the monthly newsletter of abate of florida inc gator alley chapter p.o box 10395 naples fl 34101 page 2 abate of fla inc · gator alley chapter[close]

abate of florida inc gator alley chapter presidents report hey everyone i want to thank the past board for doing their jobs well i feel we have a great mix of old and new on this board and i am looking forward to working with them a big thank you to all who showed up at the chapter meeting to vote and also those who sent in their votes it is one of the most important meetings we have every year i just want you all to know that just because i am the president doesn t mean i know everything i need your help and support to run this chapter always remember it is our chapter my name number and email is in the newsletter if you want to talk to me or ask a question i will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible if you don t know me and see me out and about somewhere please introduce yourself after all there are over 500 members now and i sure don t know everyone so lets get out there and ride safe and have some fun we do have a job to do but you know what we can have fun doing it too catch ya at the meeting next month be careful page 4 abate of fla inc · gator alley chapter[close]

abate of florida inc gator alley chapter vice presidents report hey everyone first of all i want to thank all of you that voted for me to represent you as the vice-president of gator alley it is an extreme honor and privilege to hold this position secondly as i stated at the last membership meeting it has indeed been my pleasure to be your sgt at arms this past year i have learned a lot from everyone on the previous board and from all the membership i am excited for this upcoming year i plan on communicating with a lot of our llong-time members and llearn w t f ong time members d earn what made gator alley so special in the beginb ning and then try to balance those ways with our changing times also if you have any ideas suggestions and comments for me please do not hesitate to contact me any time remember constructive criticism is always the best way i know we all will make a mistake or two however i am confident that with this new board and the great membership that we have we will be able to achieve great things i will also be calling on everyone to volunteer for some of our many events the more we get people involve the better and smoother our events become finally congratulations to the new board of directors i am excited to work with each and every one of you i believe we have a great mix of personnel with years of experience and those who served on the bod from years past that the road forward will be easily obtained my learning curve is huge and i am extremely excited to get started learning teach page 6 abate of fla inc · gator alley chapter[close]

abate of florida inc gator alley chapter secretary s report 6/27/10 general membership meeting minutes 1 11:00 stand for pledge of allegiance moment of s silence for brothers and sisters lost p pres report frizz welcomed all and thanked all for help and work over last year remember that f this is going to be a long day with elections with t that in mind not further report t vice pres mark recognized guests and new v members thanked all once again m sec jim thanked teach for taking minutes for s last meeting in his absence entertained motion to la dispense with the reading of the minutes and accept d them as they appeared in the last newsletter motion t by rick seconded by roger passed unanimously b mentioned that new members and old members m could meet some fine folks by volunteering to help c at our events setting up and breaking down it s not a just for bod and committee members remember ju you get out of gator alley what you put in to gator alley treasurer michele gave treasurer s report sgt at arms teach no events this past month thanks to all who have helped over past year legislative darrin thanks to all for support over past year mentioned house bill #971 making it o.k to have a horizontal license plate if the numbers can be read from top to bottom and you have a toll pass/transponder on your bike why nobody can figure out why caloosahatchee chapter was asked to contact their representative to find out why he sponsored this asinine piece of legislation will work to over-turn or modify during next legislative session see legislative report elsewhere in this newsletter for complete documentation of darrin s wisdom state delegate bill bill has bike tickets n-com will be held in albuquerque new mexico next year state bod was elected back into office en toto all positions are the same bylaws from all chapters are to be updated and sent in to state for review state bylaws will be reviewed for compliance and coordinated with all chapters see state delegate s report elsewhere in this newsletter for full accounting membership denise supporter pin for dennis parsons also gave pin to gary for his support of all of our events fundraisers from the iron rhino distributed pins and membership cards see membership report for complete report quartermaster rambo everything is in order nothing to report newsletter lynn has been a pleasure producing the newsletter for the past few years received an over-whelming round of applause for a job way above and beyond lynn suggested that folks run for a bod position you get out of gator alley what you put in to gator alley page 8 abate of fla inc · gator alley chapter[close]
