words of rick holt may 10 2009 outside of hospice house of naples theres something that ive wanted to say to everyone and i think that now is the time i just want you all to know that i am excited about the place where i am going heaven is a glorious place with all of gods wonder i know that you all tell me not to be so ready to check in early but i am glad to know where i am going i want you all to know how blessed i feel to be surrounded by such fabulous friends and family i know that i will see you again i will be there to welcome you through the gates of heaven thank you for all that you have done for us your love had surrounded me during this earthly challenge even though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death i will fear no evil for thy rod and thy staff they comfort me psalms 23:4 rick holt chaplain husband son dad biker and friend you will always be in our hearts abate of fla inc gator alley chapter page 4

when it is dark enough you can see the stars ~ralph waldo emerson first off thank you to everyone who called e-mailed and sent cards regarding the passing of russ s mom i know the support meant a great deal to him especially with me out of town it s great to know that in times of crisis there are so many gator alley members willing and able to be there as you know from the chapter meeting we didn t have the turn out at mash bash that we were hoping for so profits were down after this month s treasurer s report to state we ll know how much is left after the payments for membership sales tax and 20 contribution on income hopefully we ll still have a nice amount to give to doc for his lobbying efforts the preservation run is coming up on july 5th and 5 star on july 18th if we can have the majority of our members and bring a few friends if possible attend that will greatly help keep our finances afloat we ve reduced the entrance fees for both of the events due to the economy so that should make it easier for everyone to show up the birthday party in september is for our 25th and margo would like to make it extra special to celebrate the big event for that we ll need some money in the bank i think our watch word will be attendance over the next few months hope to see you all there ride safe michele leadership and learning are indispensable to each other john f kennedy abate of fla inc gator alley chapter page 6
