hey y all i want to thank all of the members of gator alley for their confidence in electing me as president this year s bod has some mighty big shoes to fill over that of our predecessors i have the utmost confidence that we will not only meet the chapter s expectations but hopefully far exceed them please remember that we have the preservation run coming up on july 6th and we all need to remember what that run is all about there are still pre-sell tickets available for the 5-star event on july 26th this event is going to be awesome we will get to spend time together with not only other members of gator alley but our brothers sisters from caloosahatchee southwest estero peace river ride safe ride free russ ueeck cut this out and take with you abate of fla inc gator alley chapter page 4[close]

have it your way burger king advertises that and our society has gone more like that than ever before we want things to go the way we think it should be to fit our desires people are very self centered these days and it causes turmoil in every aspect of peoples lives many people believe in a god and have been choosing to have a god that fits their way i have heard many people say my god would not send people to hell or other statements that fit their desire of what the god they choose should be like in my journey i came to discover that there is but one true god there is only one true god he s the one who created all things and is the same yesterday today and tomorrow he is described in the bible and is holy in the old testament he gave us the ten commandments no one can keep those commandments perfectly we ve all blown it some people believe that we can earn our way into heaven with good works like me i m sure you ve discovered that our best efforts are often laced with ego and self-promotion that s why the bible says there is none righteous no not one as a sinner i deserved my punishment but jesus sent by his father took the punishment for me when he died on the cross to forgive me of my sins through his death burial and resurrection he provided my bail and freedom from the chains of prison that held me bound in sin the bible says for god so loved the world put your name here that he gave his only son i remember when i wanted things my way but i was miserable and had no peace i was addicted to crack cocaine and couldn t get rid of the addiction i had given up on ever changing it wasn t until i accepted jesus in my heart and turned over my will to him that the addiction was broken jesus said i have come to give life and more abundantly i had a new life that was full of joy and peace knowing that i have someone to cast my cares on who is all powerful all loving and able to work all things out for my good i still screw up but i am learning that if i let go and let god have control of such things as my anger my lust my envy my fears he gives me a peace that the world that the world can t hold a match to i know though that the best is still yet to come for those who would trust in him he offers them eternal life in heaven it will be the biggest rally we have ever seen i hope you will be able to attend it call me anytime i ll be there for you you re chaplain rick holt abate of fla inc gator alley chapter page 5[close]

june sunshine report ron stroble congratulations on his engagement we wish him and his bride-to-be the very best of everything and can t wait to see what kind of pen giveaway he comes up with for this one tom and heidi yahl thinking of you card after the fires on everglades blvd destroyed the perimeter of their property their house was spared due to tom s efforts along with the skillful firefighters who saved many homes during that two day ordeal even rick loy was able to lend a hand and made the newspaper best wishes as you re-grow and re-build your home sweet home bob cadillac butcher get well card for his cataract surgery the first one was some much fun he scheduled himself for another one hope he has his 20/20 vision back so you can keep an eagle eye on our chapter for years to come jimmy mccallion get well card as his is dealing with some health issues we send jimmy jenny and little jimmy the dalmatian all our prayers and positive thoughts remember guys we are only a phone call away we received a thank you card from zeke in va for our card and support for the lost of his wife trish he and alex are doing okay please be sure to keep in touch zeke i wanted to personally thank the owners of the little green house on the east side of pine ridge with the watch for motorcycles sign as well as an american flag sign in their front yard i drive by their house 2-4x per day and appreciate your proud display i also noticed the for sale sign so hopefully when you sell your house you will put it in the contract that the signs must remain standing i forgot to get your name for proper recognition and for that i apologize to all of you who proudly display your watch for motorcycles sign in your yard i thank you it makes my heart feel good inadvertantly left out of my report at the meeting miss dolly beila our very special friend supporter and brad s secret girlfriend had to have surgery for a torn rotator cuff and will be incapacitated for a while for once she has to stop taking care of everyone else take time to heal and let someone else take care of her our thoughts and prayers are with you dolly hugs kisses and all our love respectfully submitted margo dugan abate of fla inc gator alley chapter page 6[close]

general meeting of gator alley chapter abate of florida inc june 22 2008 meeting called to order at 11:01 am by rick loy president gator alley chapter pledge of allegiance to flag and a moment of silence for our lost brothers and sisters and those in our armed forces protecting our country and freedom president rick loy recognized billy bob who spoke to the chapter regarding a new service to help stranded motorcyclist recognized bob alonzo candidate for collier county commissioner district 5 mr alonzo spoke about his experience and reasons why he is running for office thanked the bod for all the help and support they provided him this past year thanked the chapter for the prodigious fortuity to serve this great chapter as president it will go down as a highlight of my life reported that cathy is stepping down as our chapter historian we are looking to get someone to serve in this position tina and lynn both volunteered read a brief statement that he related to the state delegates meeting when he presented doc the donation from gator alley vice president roger janes espied new members and wayward wonderers gave his heartfelt gratitude to the chapter for allowing his servitude this past year 5-star party is july 26 we have pre-sale tickets available for $25 there will be two bands poker run at noon price of ticket includes camping fee at the event secretary darrin brooks no corrections report in minutes marie motioned to accept minutes second by lynn motion carried by voice vote treasurer scarlett leeper proclaimed that we do indeed have some filthy lucre in the vault verbally embraced the chapter with her farewell from this valued position sergeant-at-arms scott hughes bashfully reiterated his feelings for the past year of service to this chapter products trustee jodi draffen excused absence no report state delegates dave pappas darrin brooks darrin stammered and stumbled through a brief yet highly informative synopsis of the past state delegates meeting see full report in the newsletter and on-line darrin and dave gave their ah shucks thanks for allowing us to service each and everyone of you as state delegates of course legislative trustee jim kalvin related facts that if you are under 18 you need to take the rider training course before you apply for your learner s permit expressed his appreciation to be able to provide excellent leadership as legislative trustee this past year his absence will be sorely missed pr communications trustee marie ratcliff stated that she is looking forward to another year of service to this chapter and stated that she could not have done it without the support she has received abate of fla inc gator alley chapter page 8[close]

safety trustee russ ueeck updated chapter on the incredible presentation at the east trail wal-mart last saturday june 14th identified teddy scott h heidi and scarlett as well on their way to being the newest msap certified instructors presented curt n the first new car magnet that was given to him by doc we will be getting more safety products special events coordinator heidi yahl thanked everyone for the love and support her family received from the chapter after the fire in the estates wished to thank y all for the past year of being on the bod quartermaster tom hoffman limped up to the front to give his fond farewell as qm and giddy appreciation for all the well wishes he received since his accident membership trustee paul evans as way of expressing his gratitude for serving the chapter in this position he gleefully and slowly shook his long and vibrant locks in a manner that made the ladies swoon and the men weep openly recognized anniversaries and new members see full report in newsletter newsletter editor lynn corr thanked tony and the rest of the guys from harley-davidson for attending this meeting gave a delightful aria as to her unabashed gratefulness for the support she has received as newsletter editor extraordinaire webmaster dave lockdown rich excused absence sunshine chairperson margo dugan see detailed list of the infirmed and aggrieved in the newsletter and on-line advertising account executive ginny rich excused absence old business preservation run july 6th see flyer in newsletter and on-line 5-star event july 26th at peace river campground in arcadia elections held and the new bod was seated see list of new bod members in newsletter and on-line new business leadership seminar in deland florida for bod members margo stated that she and heidi will be hosting the chapter birthday party more information coming soon scarlett beseeched the chapter for old t-shirts that she will make into a quilt to be sold during the birthday party good of the order russ thanked everyone for coming together and helping and supporting curt s benefit we truly are family adjournment t-shirt drawing went to roger janes 50/50 drawing went to jimbo motion to adjourn by marie second by scarlett adjourned at 1:43 pm these minutes are respectfully submitted by darrin s brooks abate of fla inc gator alley chapter page 9[close]
