sales department collector coin viii iberian-american series the theme chosen for the 8th issue in the iberian-american series is historical coins this time there are nine participating countries argentina cuba guatemala mexico nicaragua paraguay peru portugal and spain the nine coins and the commemorative medal that is also included in the collection share the same specifications silver 925 weight 27 grams diameter 40 mm these series have the characteristic that each country allows its coat of arms to be reproduced in other countries coins therefore the reverses of the coins depict the national coat of arms surrounded by the remaining ones there is a maximum issue of 12,000 sets the collection is currently available argentina portugal peru paraguay nicaragua cuba spain guatemala mexico collection case commemorative medal

sales department collector coin unesco world heritage series 2 euro coins in 2010 the royal spanish mint started a series of 2 euro commemorative coins dedicated to the spanish sites in the unesco s world heritage list the first coin in these series commemorates the historic centre of cordoba the first spanish site to be included in unesco s world heritage list in 1984 it portrays the forest of pillars of the great mosque of córdoba one of the most significant and oldest examples of islamic art in europe this coin has been minted also in proof quality and marketed in the 2010 euro coinage proof set and in a special limited blister pack with a maximum of 10,000 units the coin issued in 2011 is dedicated to granada the inner part of the coin depicts the court of the lions in the alhambra the fortified castle in the city of granada which was declared a unesco world heritage site in 1984 as its predecessor this coin has been included in bu quality in the 2011 euro circulation coin sets as well as in proof quality in the 2011 proof set furthermore the coin in proof quality will be marketed in a limited blister pack that will be issued in the 2nd semester of 2011.
